I have no sympathy. I'm 12th generation American and have a Afrikaans fiancee I'm trying to bring over. Having done this the legal way...waiting years...she finally got a $65,000/year job contract as an educator, has a home ready and waiting...will be a US taxpayer and contributor to American society...and was DENIED entry on a technicality.

Yep i was denied a visa too. Actually i got invited to attend a conference in the US. They sent me the itinerary and the booked plane tickets for the round trip, yet the US embassy denied me a visa for 14days stay. The reason being i was unmarried at the time.

I am a British citizen and married to a non-British woman and have a 12-year old boy with her, but the UK government does not allow me to take her back with me to the UK. I am working abroad and close to retirement. Once I retire and go back home, we will have to separate. The UK is full of illegals and its border is wide-open to receive more of them.

My relative worked as a security guard in NYC, where a lot of hotels were turned into shelters, some kicking out regulars living there , and the amount of violence he uncovered , encountered from sex trafficking, drug abuse and domestic violence, is astounding. He was only 20 and quit after having to many physical encounters and just seeing bloody scenes. No one is speaking about these issues!

Heres why they are processed. In other countries, where things are bad, if the people rise up against their leaders, they most likely get put in prison or killed. So, these people, are claiming Asylum, and lie to our officials, that their lives are in danger. As soon as they claim Asylum, Border agents need to protect them under the statues of the law. Then their "claim" is investigated, and a decision is made, if they stay or go back. Which can take 3-4 years or more.

You don't realize how much opportunity is there in the US ? I got this lottery where the winning prize was a green card . Its called EDV lottery. I was in Nepal. I was working in a supermarket where I was being paid 50$ a month. And I was the lucky ones. Most folks like me in Nepal would feel lucky to go to Gulf Nations to work in 50 ( celcius) degree heat.
The one who couldn't even go to Gulf go to India to work as guards or in apple orchards in Himanchal.
Dude my mother sold her golden ear ring so I could buy a used 125 cc Indian Bajaj motorcycle so I don't have to travel in a minivan called microbus. Imagine a Toyota Sienna but it carries 20 folks not including the driver. That is our mode of transportation.
Now i have a decent house in Dallas suburb, a nice SUV , a little chihuahua, two kids. We go on vacation to Mexico, Colorado and sometimes even to Nepal.
This was beyond my wildest dreams had I stayed back in Nepal and not won that lottery.
Getting all of them to the border at once costs money. LOTS of money.

Potential immigrants who are well educated & already have relatives living in the U.S. frequently have to apply for a green card several times before they are given permission to enter. This isn't fair to these immigrants that the U.S. should eventually be proud to have as citizens. Incidentally, they not only come from Europe but also places like Nigeria & Kenya as well as the Philippines. Many of these individuals are doctors & nurses.
