SHEHDS IP65 RGB 3W Laser Unboxing and Review

- Hey guys welcome back, hope you are doing well, I’m going to be showing you my unboxing and review of the SHEHDS New Arrival IP65 Waterproof 3W RGB Animation laser!
This laser is a full colour Scanning 3W (3,000mW) animation laser that can do up to 40,000 Points Per Second. It is fully waterproof and can bear temperatures from -20 degrees to 40 degrees celcious. This is probably the best laser on the market for under $300, the full price for this fixture is $285 but is on sale a lot!

How did you hook up DMX the cable doesn't fit anything I have?
I would recommend using the included 0.5m dmx cable that fits the normal DMX connector
I am an amateur and I wonder if it would it make sense to get this fixture without the DMX controller for house parties? I think it works on voice control. Would it be a waste of potential?
3mw lasers can kill phone cameras in seconds, as well as eyes. if you not be able to ensure that it only projects above your head i would never use it. specially not for house partys which always have limited space and people not paying attention. i am even amazed that the camera which pointed directly into the ray wasnt fried :D
@@morlin3 I've never seen a 3mw laser hurt a camera.
Yes you can totally use these at a house party. The menu has options to change the X and Y axis so that it will not spread beams where they are not wanted. No DMX controller needed. In sound mode or even auto mode these lights project a great show.
You can choose beam shows from the menu that scan left to right and have zero up and down movement also if that helps. I have a video posted of an example of that.
It is absolutely fine without the need of DMX control. It has great in built patterns and great Sound Active modes.

Danny, I bought this laser and am disappointed. Auto mode only projects a few cheesy cartoon animations, music mode does not work it always black out and now I am trying dmx but still there are very few patterns to choose from and program scenes. Could you briefly outline how you set up yours with soundswitch? Thanks.
I’m very sorry to hear that your disappointed. With auto mode you can choose between 5 pattern libraries, with the cartoon animations being in the 1st library, I think that would be the problem. And with music mode, I would have to guess that they shipped your product out with the mic sensitivity being put all the way down (0-100), if you put it higher, it would be more sensitive and react more, I would recommend it to be at about 80-90%. With SoundSwitch, you select your desired cannel mode, witch you have to select on both the laser and on the software, then the channel number on the software that you have selected, you also put that into the laser. And from there you’re ready to start creating, with attribute cues, you can make your own unique patterns with morphing and colouring options on top of pre-existing patterns. @@DJDannyDante Thanks Danny, I don't see any adjustment for sensitivity on the box, do you have to open it? Also which dmx to usb interface are you using?
Which Dmx program are you using?
I’m using SoundSwitch, has a lot of flexibility and is overall great!
@@DJDannyDante Danny, soundswitch looks like a nice program but it does not support streaming music aka YTM, only DJ software provides the beat tempo.
