It is another religious satire made by Méliès.
In a prayer room, a priest prepares the place settings for the sisters and goes away. A devil comes out from the baptismal font and, after ringing the bell and calling the nuns, he takes the role of a priest, he goes up to the pulpit and he begins the function. During “Mea culpa” the devil returns to show his true appearance scaring the nuns away. The devil makes the baptismal font and the chairs disappear, and he replaces the columns of the cloister with infernal statues; then he makes some devils appear from under the floor and he makes others come out of a pot. The demon also materializes the mouth of hell (a huge goat face) which turns into the statue of a giant frog, devil jumps on the frog and he invites everyone to sing a song. A mysterious veiled lady appears during the infernal feast and she drives out the demonic creatures; the devil is in trouble and he is challenged by a soldier who he defeated, but the priest comes on the scene and begins to chase him: the priest summons all his companions and together they evoke Saint Michael the Archangel who finally defeats the devil.
