Rachel COMPLETELY ignoring ‘the song of Achilles’ is sooooo funny.: it has the different spine. It has been on her TBR for over a year… hilarious
I could be completely wrong but I think she mentioned that she's including it in a video sometime this year! maybe books she's been avoiding? i want her to read it sooo bad its a top book for me! but i agree it is so funny
Rachel. Babel is stunning! I also found it very intimidating at first, but by page 50 I was hooked. And the dark academia vibes are chef's kiss
don’t be scared of babel! rf kuang is a genius and it will take you a bit longer to read, but it’s so worth it!
The size of Babel is definitely intimidating! When I read it I tabbed every 50 pages to break it up and tried to read the 50 pages everyday.
I just read Babel after having it on my TBR for a couple of years. It helped to start it on audio and then go back and forth between audio and the physical copy. Maybe try that just to get it off your cart?
to think march is autumn for you is so cool!!! ugh i lonnnggg to be in fall
don’t be scared about babel!! it’s so beautiful and one of my favourite books of all time. please give it a chance because once you’re into it it’s so worth it
the babel breakdown had me laughing so hard 😭 i know nothing about that book but now im intrigued just based on your reaction HAHAH
I'm so shocked you've not wanted to read ruthless vows as you gave first one 5 stars from memory. You'll love it!
Babel is one of my favourite books of all time - please read it!
My tbr for March is A Darker Shade of Magic, Renegades, Rise of Kyoshi, City of Fallen Angels, Amari and the Night Brothers, Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, Misery, Keeper of the Lost Cities Neverseen, and possibly The Final Empire.
Half a soul was soo good. Its cozy historical romantic fantasy . And the Novellas are available on the authors page if you sign up for the newsletter.
Half a Soul is very cozy! I hope you love it. I think it's one of the sweetest, most whimsical books. Dora and Elias are each so strange according to other people, but they find the special things in each other AND THEY'RE JUST SO CUTE! I absolutely adored it!
I'm definitely doing this for March. TBR jars are such a smart and fun idea
Half a Soul is one of my favorites!! I hope you like it
Me having just read ‘if only I had told her’ I feel horrible. But watching Rachel’s video improved my mood by 1000x
was the book good? i’ve seen mixed reviews but obviously really hoping it’s as good as the first one!
@@princessjessie2946 i really loved it..
@@FrancescasNook okay yay that’s great!
I LOVE Half a Soul!! I hope you enjoy it!
Babel is intimidating but it's really a beast of a work of fiction. I read it last year and it wasn't my favorite ever but I could respect the artistry of it and it does pull you in rather quickly!
Babel was one of my fav books of 2023!!
OMG Yessssss SAY YOU SWEAR is like my all time favorite book! Definitely one of the best book boyfriends ever ❤
YESS HALF A SOUL! 😍 That book has my entire heart, it was tied for my book of the year last year along with Divine Rivals ✨️ I'm sure you'll love it ❤
I just read Mistborn and can honestly say that it is so easy to get in to! Mistborn I would say is one of the more ya books that Brandon Sanderson has wrote and is not intimidating at all once you start reading!
i think it’d be fun for u to make a reading video just reading Babel just so u can get it over with 😭 we can see if u end up loving it or not once and for all
Haven’t watched the whole video but I know I’ll love it! I live for these jar prompt videos 🥰
ERAs Tour!! You're so lucky! Hope you vlog some!
i read babel in november and its sooo goood and im still thinking about it definitely 5 stars for me
No freaking way! I hold my breath during all of your TBR videos in hopes of you pulling Say You Swear…..and now you have 😭 I hope you love it as much as I did
Its such a good book, I cried so hard 😢
@@rachyj211 I did too😭 I think it’s the very first book that made me cry. I hope she loves it like we did
@@peytonsbookplace me too
I’m excited for you to read Brandon Sandersons the final empire! I loved it and it was my first high fantasy book
I found listening to Babel helpful to get through it
The Book club Hotel does have a dog in it and I really enjoyed it, I think you'll like it too :)
As someone who is currently 75% through Babel I‘m encouraging you to read it
The magic system in the mistborn series is so easy to understand. Im 30% through the finale empire and absolutely loving it, its my first Brandon Sanderson book. My husband read them before me and highly recommend i pick it up.
I really hope you include The Final Empire in one of your vlogs!!! I’m so excited to see your reactions 🥰🥰🥰
i’ve already picked out my March tbr too 😂. hope March is a great reading month for you Rachel 🫶🫶
Paper princess is so underrated and I loved it so much!! Highly recommend 💕
Maybe Meant To Be was one of my top books of 2023 (but ya romance is my FAV). it is a little fast but i loved it
babel is really good! i was also intimidated by it but honestly give it 50 pages i swear it'll suck you in!!!
I would love to watch a video of you reading Bable. You could switch from Kindle to audio to the copy physical, but it will be an amazing feeling for yourself if you get the book off your TBR cart, even if you DNF it
Babel is so intimidating. I struggled to want to read it too & then I got the audio! Changed the game & I enjoyed so much!! ❤
Hey Rachel! I think you’d absolutely LOVE Skyward! I picked it up after you told us about it. And it’s A-MAZING! The feeling you get when reading the first book, is unlike any other. It’s perfect ❤
Can you do a color reading video? Like a video of yellows, oranges, reds, green, etc! You need some yellow books in your cart!
I will join you in trying to read Babel this month. Ive been avoiding too😂
As someone who was intimidated by Babel, once you start it, it's not as intimidating as it seems. It is very dense but very beautifully written and laid out.
I want to see Babel in a reading vlog pls, it would be fun to get your opinions throughout!
The Final Empire is actually really easy to understand for non-high fantasy readers! I read it in my second language (English) and I still understood and LOVED it all! :) It has a little bit of romance and it feels like a found family fantasy.. I'm obsessed with this series! Hope you read it :)
I mean, you could make reading Babel a thing and just vlog reading it throughout the month of March!!
I really hope you read Skyward soon! I just read it and LOVED the first book
have fun at the eras tour!! that’s so cool that you’re going🩷
Now I'm picturing all of our collective gasps and happily surprised faces at seeing this video
I'm planning to read more of Ali Hazelwood's books in March. I've still got to read her three latest releases and I already have them all lol. Also I've been reading a few of Brandon Sanderson's books in the last few months and I've been really enjoying them. I'm almost done with the Skyward series and I don't normally read Sci fi.
I loved Girl, Serpent, Thorn it's so underrated! I hope you get to it 💜 happy reading x
You should do TBR stats at the beginning of each video where you say which books from your past months TBR you read and the ones you didn't
Would love to hear your thoughts on Good Material. It seems like it’ll be pretty good! X
I love maybe meant to be it’s so cute
Yessss!!!!! I literally clicked this so quickly!!!
GIRL ME TO
Babel is quite long however I didn't find it too dense/hard to understand. It was quite gripping all the way through! Though I would say it wouldn't be something everyone would love
These are always my fav vids, I’m reading babel rn!
Please get anew bookshelf and then do a bookshelf reorganisation
I READ THE SONG OF ACHILLES AND I LIKED IT
rachel!! tempt our fate is #2 in a series 🫣🫣🫣🫣
I love Katie‘s videos! They‘re also always so long and cozy 😩🤌🏼
Yay!!! Say you Swear!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😍😍 I loved it
listening to the audiobook of babel and following along in the book was so incredible, a really great reading experience! I was really nervous and intimidated to read it too but doing it that way was super helpful! hope you do get to it!!
Maybe you could do a Babel buddy read with your viewers.
Eeek please do a Babel reading vlog!
i just finished the final empire last night and loved it (literally going to buy book 2 today) !!! i also typically read romantasy but didn’t find it difficult to understand at all, looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it
All of Brandon sanderson's kazmir has a section in the back called Ars Arcanum. Reference this if you are having trouble understanding. It really helped one of my non-fantasy reader teachers read that book and enjoy it.
Love tbr videos!❤️
I love these videos with the prompt jar. You have started some sort of movement that I am dubbing the RC movement...lol. You inspired me to make my own prompts and I now have over 300 custom fun reading prompts that first started with your prompts. If you have an email for fans, I'd love to share my Word Doc with you (16 pages with 19 prompts each).
Not me gasping and literally putting my hands up in the air when i saw this video
Loved this!! I wanna go make my March TBR now!!
I totally get being intimidated to read babel! I think it would be fun if you did a reading vlog for it when you do get to it
yay a new Rachel video!!!
Would love to see Say You Swear in a video! 💜
You should do a reading vlog when you read The Final Empire :)
I just finished reading Half a soul & the other 2 books in the series. Super cozy, a little slow at times because there's some dialog but definitely glad I read them all. 😊
you could’ve done saving 6 bc Johnny have dogs. I really want you to finish bc the next book comes out in April.
You should definitely tell us how you like half a soul by Olivia Atwater. I’ve wanted to read it for a long time but haven’t gotten it yet. The Final empire by Brandon Sanderson is so good! His books are always my favorites and 5 stars for me. You should definitely read it and try it. Also for me it wasn’t too hard to understand but idk how it will be for you.
Good morning Rachel happy Thursday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
I have just finished ‘Daughter of No Worlds’ by Carissa Broadbent. It’s a 5 star for me! I am so excited to start the next book!! I’m gonna read the last 2 in the series and then re-read the Veronica Speedwell series before the next one comes out! I am so excited!!!! Half a Soul was pretty good too, I hope you’ll like it ❤
I really want to see you read Sanderson!
Babel is SO good ❤
Just read Babel 😭 pls 🧎🏻♀️
im currently 200 pages into say you swear so would love to see youre opinion on it in a video. currently my march tbh includes, to cage a god, promises and pomegranets and one of us is lying. im hoping to get through brutal prince too 🤞
Please read Say you Swear! I think it’s very much a book you will love
another month of me hoping Rachel picks open water or songs in Ursa Major as they are both my favourite books!! 📚
i haven't fully picked my march tbr yet but i'm hoping to get to powerless, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, and heir of fire!
You should definetely try Wishtress by Nadine Brandes, it is such a great Christian fiction that has great allegories. It made my top 10 list video last year!
i loved say you swear! i read it for the first time last year!
Last month, after many attempts at reading any Brandon Sanderson, I finally read Mistborn: The Final Empire. I really liked it. My only quibble was sometimes there was the equivalent of info dumping only I'd call it "world building dumping." I gave it 4.5 stars, if I remember correctly.
Omggg pls read girl serpent thorn. It’s my fav book so far this year
i've had babel on my tbr for so long it's embarrassing but i just don't have it in me to pick it up i just can't do it
i just got babel on libby because my paperback was taunting me lol i’m gonna switch back and forth and hope that helps me finally read it / get it off my tbr!🤣
Hey Rach just wanted to let you know that tempt with fate is the second book in a series! Not sure if you have to read in order or not ❤
Final empire yay, looking forward to your opinion! Have fun at the concert 💕
I would love to be in Australia right now cause can't stand the summer months that is coming about two.months.
I’d love to see a reading vlog with Half A Soul and say you swear
Babel is sooooo worth it though!!!!!! you have to!!!!!!!
Rach!!! I was internally screaming for you to pick The Final Empire. It is my current read and i’m on page 400 something. I would say the magic system is not hard (not used to high fantasy either)! At first it seems complex, but then they use it so much that you pick up on it pretty well. Hope this gives up a little incentive because I would love to know your take on it! Also, love your vids 🫶🏻
Say you swear is so good!
