Bands who plays their own instruments seriously need to make a come back into the music industry. By 'come back' i really meant being in the spot light.
start with beyonce...then continue with all the rappers out there who rely heavily on samples!
Em... Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, 5 seconds of summer, 30 seconds to Mars?.. Are they not in the spotlight enough? And don't forget solo-artist like Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars.

It's a uphill struggle mate. It's quicker, easier and financially better to pay one guy with a Mac and a bunch of samples to produce the music than pay for a whole band to record (as well as touring). At the end of the day it doesn't matter because unfortunately that is the kind of music that is popular right now. And the labels want to keep it that way for as long as possible.

@@blaskoxx4954 I think they mean the spacing of when each instrument comes in and out, so that the song doesn't sound too cluttered and other sonic elements are enhanced.
@@blaskoxx4954 when writing sheet music its called a rest, instruments or vocals will drop in and out for whole segments or multiple measures.
This is rare in kpop group music. Except for gfriend, dreamcatcher maybe.
This song is still easily one of my top five songs on Spotify... never gets old.

I love the revival of the late 80's gated reverb sound.
I was trying to place the mix and instrumentation (not very hard) and yeh, that's 80s pop. And really good 80s pop, I think, though I was pretty checked out of pop music back then. So my view may be off.

It feels like it gets harder and harder to find good music, I'm just so grateful that AI generated music isn't the norm yet, theres something fascinating about real life musicians, their influences and the sounds they come out with. Its almost like music is a dying art, then you hear some Korean pop rock band that completely revitalizes your faith in humanity. Music is the one language I hope we never lose.
You can hear the influences they were exposed to but it's distinctly their own. No idea what she's singing but it's good.

THIS was the CZcams recommendation video that lead me to Luli Lee two years ago. I fell in love immediately and have followed every song she's put out before and since.
Same thing for me... While Dive and Light Beside You are my favorites... I love at least five or six more... Live In Sunset is amazing.
