I just got this so this video was really helpful. I find it hard to believe that it has true 1080p video (or if so the quality just isn't that great). Great job testing out all of the functions. Pretty thorough. Thanks!

Decent little drone. I got one for Christmas last week. 👍 Definitely not bad for toy grade drone!
One issue I have is that the yaw stick on the remote is sticky. Maybe a touch of WD40 will fix it. It was REALLY cold outside when I flew it, so that could have caused the plastic to shrink or get hard. In a warm house, it doesn't stick. Battery life is awesome and the app is very detailed and intuitive. Camera quality is "good". In GPS mode, it's hovering stability surprised the heck out of me. I highly recommend!!

I picked one up off of Amazon. Nice drone. It works as advertised! As this is my first drone, it will take a little while to get the hang of it, but I learn something new each time I fly her.

I bought one of these for my first drone and Ive modded the controller already lol! Tested mine in 24mph winds today and it wasnt bad at all. I've put a video up of my first ever drone flight, it was practice but really fun! I think this is going to get addictive haha

Got this as a birthday gift from my son, really enjoying my first drone. Flies reasonably well even in moderate winds and tight area. Beginners mode defaults are a little odd (why so high on RTH?). One of my batteries was faulty, hoping Snaptain rectifies that. Thanks for the informative review & demo, really helped.

Thank you for the great video. It helped me with a lot of issues that I had. The instruction booklet wasn't as detailed as I'd hoped. The only thing I would like to note is that the MicroSD slot allows up to 128gb, not just 32gb.
Great video for "toy". Seemed to land pretty close to you when you told it to return home the first time. I guess for its price, might be a nice unit for beginners. Just seen it on WOOT for $95.
In the follow me mode do you have to keep the controller with you? I've seen videos where the person isnt holding anything but the drone is following the person. Hmm or maybe they are using point of interest? Trying to make some video of my trips.
For this drone you need the controller and your device hooked up and carry it with you. I would suggest if you want to keep it out of shot either have the drone behind you as your walking with a spotter present or have someone else hold the controller and crop them out in post.

Its adjustable manually 90 degrees. Field of view 110°

I just bought one of these and tried it out these weekend. It lifted off the ground just fine and then flew directly into the side of my house. I'm getting a replacement, but there were several issues I had right out of the box. #1 One of the batteries had trouble charging. #2 The drone had trouble calibrating and by the time it did, the controller and drone battery where down to 50%. #3 As already mention, my drone took a suicide run at my house. The house won. After re-charging the battery and re-calibrating, it became pretty clear the one of the motors failed seconds after lift-off and that's why it veered drastically in the direction of the house. I've order a replacement and I really want this thing to work because it does have good reviews, but for me this drone gets an grade of F right now.
I would definitely make sure you contact snaptain customer support and let them know about your experiences they are pretty good about making it right usually

Having issues with this drone, it gets really hot when battery plugged in, is this normal guys?
Also have a Sandisk 16gb MicroSD inside the drone, when I record video it records the vids ok to my phone and saves them but the sd card videos are all corrupt. The card was formatted to FAT32 prior to inserting to the drone also. I'm going to mess about with it tomorrow again but Im hoping I havent been sent a faulty model.
Should not be getting that hot just sitting you may have a defective unit. You can try to contact snaptain customer support on Facebook
Hi, thanks for the video.. how do you record on the drones SD Card? i put a SanDisk Extreme Pro 128G but nothing is recording
Did you try formatting the sd card once placed in the drone? Also try another card and see if that works.
@@edrone_ thanks! i formatted, but didn't worked, i think is the type of SD, i tried with an old SD Trancendt 32GB and it worked.. its strange because de specifications read it supports 128GB.. still thanks for your support.

Anyone know if my friend buys this drone (i have it already) will the signals mess with each other if he flies it same time as me? I really dont want him buying it if it means we have to take turns as im aleady doing that atm sharing it with him lol. We want to be able to fly together.

You need a USB charger that does 5 volt 1-2 amp output and 120 volt input

How long to charge battery’s once drone is first opened!? Charger still blinking red/green. The remote is solid green but not batteries? Been plugged in for 1 hr?

@@atesini make sure you are outside with no metal objects near the drone and follow the instruction manual on the proper orientation for compass calibration

I wouldn't suggest anything over maybe 1/4 lb because the motors are brushed

I would suggest not flying in higher than 10 mph winds for this drone.

Check the motors that they are spinning freely and your props are tight also make sure to calibrate the GPS often with minimal metal objects around

I have a few questions. 1) Once it takes off (on its own) and I ask it to follow me for let's say 30 yards. When I tell it to "go home" does it come back to the receiver location or only where it took off from? 2) Do you know if it drops in water, would it float or sink? (i know it's not waterproof) just curious if it would float or not. 3) do you have a way to control the camera movement so that the video or pics don't have the blades in the shot?
If you press the return to home while flying the drone will always fly back to the takeoff spot. Now you can land and relaunch to change the homepoint. Not sure if it would float my guess would be no since it's not watertight the water would leak in and cause sinking but maybe not immediately? You can manually adjust the camera angle to get the props out of shot 😉

Hi, I'm teaching drone camp next week, our college bought 11 of these, I'm trying mine out. I do have it "operational" (wish the manual had said you HAVE to sync your mobile with the remote first thing), however, I cannot get the camera "on" to view, record, etc. I am working with this inside (windy here), fyi, but I don't see why that would make a difference. The app does seem to work (i.e., I can use the mobile screen to turn off, on), and I have calibrated compass and gyro. Any ideas? Have watched your video, yours seemed to go on screen very quickly, but you were outside...

Just checked no 5G not avail. I guess we bought the wrong drone. And 11 of them!!!

Mine went haywire, would not accept any input from the remote and flew toward my kid, but did not make it to him as i intercepted it with one swing of my hand. The drone did not survive!

Yes you can spin yourself holding the drone this keeps the height and level consitant for calibration

That is based on the motors for me. Brushed is considered toy grade and brushless is hobby grade.

When you call this a "stable flyer", i really don´t know what your expectations on drones are. This is complete crap dude, overpriced crap.
For the price i think it performs solid the return to home was accurate within 3 feet and it hovered nicely for a toy drone.

It's one of the best you can get for the money but I would spend a bit more and get something with better camera and more range
Don't buy these toys just wait in a few weeks for the dji mavic mini to come out. All these chinese knockoff's are crap. $400 gets you 4k image quality stabilized with obstacle avoidance and sensors up the ass, under 250 grams no need to register to FAA. End of october release. Mavic 3 announces in january. Your welcome.
Not everyone as the 400$ to throw on a drone this is why we look to these for starter
