I mostly play on xbox but this does put a smile on my face that we are finally in the console gen where 60fps can be the new norm and solid as a rock without sacrificing resolution or detail, giving us a smooth crisp cinematic experience

Depends on well your display can handle 30fps. I find newer tvs really suck at displaying 30fps. Tvs from 2014 and lower had no issue with 30fps. Looked pretty smooth. Now playing on a newer tv from 2020 and the same games that looked smooth on my older tv were now intolerable to be played. I view it in the same vein as sdtvs for older gen games like snes. Newer tvs just aren't that good for those old games. And likewise now-a-days smart tvs, 4k tvs are just shitty for displaying 30fps. I had no issue with my 2014 40" 1080p60 samsung tv with going back and forth between 30fps on console and playing 60fps pc games on it. Now on my new 2020 55" Q70T 4k120 qled samsung tv, yeah its impossible to enjoy 30fps games on it. So conclusion is depends on what you play on. 30fps can be fine or it can be a nightmare.

And also, these developers seem to not understand that 60hz on modern screens already means motion blur, or persistence blur, whatever you want to call it, and then you also have slower response times (unless you have an OLED). My point is, our screens are already providing a lot of motion blur due to technological limitations, why are they adding even more? Worse, WHY IS THERE NO OPTION? For fuck's sake. Some games have it, but there should be NONE without the option.
I want to platinum the game but motion blurr and no 60 fps mode on the ps4 pro makes me wait for a ps5. And atm they are not even in the shops LOL. Even if i try i cant get one Especially the disk version

@Ricard Pinzon Suller los 120 son en 1080 o 1440. En 2160 es casi imposible llegar a eso yo con suerte con una 2080ti en 4k todo en ultra en days gone llego a 70fps. A esos fps y menos calidad rinde más Para juegos competitivos. Si es modo historia lo ideal es 2160 4k a 60hz

Yeah. Checkerboard is reconstruction not upscaling. Checkerboard 4k always starts from half the pixels of 4k so saying from 4,147,200 pixels is the accurate way of saying it. Pragmatically 1920x2160 also works though it's technically not quite right. It's definitely not 2560x1440 though like el analista said.
The textures in this game are of such high quality, literally makes it look like it was made for next gen. Only RDR2 tops this in terms of textures and overall fidelity according to me.
I have tried the photo mode of both and horizon has some unbelievably textures.. Many of them I culd not see the pixels when i was the closer i could. I have no idea how it works on ps4. Rdr2 textures have less resolutions but i visually prefer it

@@ProGamingTVGamer That doesn't mean they shouldn't improve the quality of life for Zero Dawn. It's a game that people love to replay. Having DualSense support would just be another reason to play it again. Just like 60fps, it is really transformative. Besides, we have to wait until next February for Forbidden West when we have Zero Dawn now. I can't imagine patching in a new controller profile would be much effort for a studio like them.

I know It wouldn’t take that much time, but a lot of studios doesn’t consider putting dualsense features on ps4 games, not even ghost of Tsushima, until recently with a $10 cost. Also, February isn’t too far away in my opinion, it’s just 5 months, you can save up or work for more money and buy other games to wait.
Honestamente mas alla de la diferencia en resolucion y algunas settings en mas alta calidad, no veo grandes diferencias entre la PRO y PS5, al fin de cuentas es un juego desarollado y pensado para la PS4 y lo mismo va a pasar con GOWR. Mi decision de esperar por la PS5 PRO es cada dia mas acertada.
I picked up that game and also Ratchet & Clank when Sony gave them for free even though I don't own a PS4 / PS5. I'm happy that both games will be 60 when I'll get a PS5 !
Yeah, it's great. This and the recent Assassin's Creed Odyssey update (which I have on XSX) are great additions. I wasn't planning on going back Odyssey since I put 160 hours into doing everything in it and interest in AC was waning due to Valhalla being somewhat of a bore to me but I enjoyed playing it for a while. Horizon Zero Dawn, however, as we're coming up on the sequel has me thinking I might just replay it all. The 60fps makes a great game slightly better to play. The sound design though (aside from some voice work) is phenomenal. Dynamic range could perhaps be slightly better too, but it's not a big issue.
I've got a PS5 and will get an SX once I can actually get one, is that FPS programme as good as it sounds? I've heard most the AC games including a fully patched Unity and Prey are 60fps, can't wait.
@@greengrugach1984 It's nice, but I find it disappointing that a bunch of games are actually sticking to the Xbox One S resolution to make sure that the frame rate reaches 60fps or 120fps, in which case, the "boost" is off by default when a game was enhanced for Xbox One X (Far Cry 5). So far, since PlayStation, at least in my opinion, has many more good first-party games in which get upgraded, it's been more exciting to jump back into those, but the boosted games and Series enhanced games are good. I just wish they could/would get games out faster, as well as boost not only frame rate, but also res for older games. When it comes to the boosted games, off the top of my head, the one I enjoyed the most was Alien Isolation. I have it on PS4, but since it's on Game Pass and runs at 60fps with the same image quality as the PS4 version, I'd rather play it on Xbox. Actually, I appreciate The Division 1 as it sticks to 4k but you get both 60fps and HDR, so it's basically on par with two.

La versión de PC salió rota pero ahora es una maravilla. La versión de PS5 va genial, pero aún le faltan cosas que se añadieron en la versión de PC como el follaje dinámico, FOV, framerate desbloqueado, soporte ultra wide, reflejos mejorados y mejor oclusión ambiental, sombras y texturas. No hace falta que pisotear a una versión para decir que otra es buena
@@Randy28CR lo digo por el hecho de que Days Gone salió muy bien en PC, mientras Horizon necesitó parches para llegar al rendimiento al que PS5 con un solo parche llega a correr. Obviamente la de PC tiene mejoras de filtrado de texturas, Antialiasing, follaje dinámico, calidad de sombras, LOD, ambient oclussion, etc, pero debes tener en cuenta de que es una versión retrocompatible, manteniendo el mismo apartado técnico que la versión de PS4 Pro pero con el framerate desbloqueado de PC, algo asi como el Finai Fantasy XIII de Xbox One X que se basa en los gráficos de la versión 360, pero haciendo el parche a 4k, manteniendo el mismo apartado gráfico, aunque en la One X/Series X mejoran el filtrado de texturas y claridad de la imagen en juegos retrocompatibles de Xbox clásico, 360 y One
@@SeiyaDLuffy te voy a ser muy sincero. En este momento, el port de Horizon Zero Dawn funciona mejor que el de Days Gone a dia de hoy. Los tengo a ambos en Steam y los dos acarrean cosas de la versión de PS4. Horizon Zero Dawn: pop in en ciertas texturas, pero muy pronunciado en algunas sombras a lo largo del mapa. Days Gone: microstuttering Ambos son buenos ports, pero te lo digo porque tengo ambos en Steam y ya me los terminé con una GTX 1070. Horizon ocupa una gráfica más potente en comparación a Days Gone, pero la versión de PC es extremadamente estable. Durante todo el tiempo que jugué (a partir de diciembre) no recuerdo algún stutter o Big gráfico fuera de los que ya vienen de la versión de PS4. Ojalá que Nixxes haga lo mismo que hizo con los Tomb Raider de PC en los próximos ports de Sony.

It depends on the implementation, sometimes it looks like shit (RDR2, Avengers) and other times almost identical as a native resolution (HZD, GOW, Days Gone, Sekiro, RE8, etc)

Actually the graphical mode has better DOF, lights and reflections than the res mode so I hope this mode was udpated to 4k and 60 FPS.

Una vez pruebas la fluidez y suavidad de los 60+ fps es difícil volver a los 30. Especialmente en los RPG y Shooters.
@Ricard Pinzon Suller los 120 son en 1080 o 1440. En 2160 es casi imposible llegar a eso yo con suerte con una 2080ti en 4k todo en ultra en days gone llego a 70fps. A esos fps y menos calidad rinde más Para juegos competitivos. Si es modo historia lo ideal es 2160 4k a 60hz

Acho que é bom ter um cara que faça esse tipo de conteúdo comparando performance e a resolução dos jogos. Atualmente tenho um PS4 Slim, e tenho vontade de comprar um PS4 Pro e jogar com uma qualidade um pouco melhor pra ter uma experiência mais legal.

This looks so clean and sharp on the Pro and PS5. PS5 combining that with 60fps makes this one hell of a good looking game. Currently playing GoT Directors Cut but once I beat Iki Island I'm playing this game on my PS5!

Yeah. Checkerboard is reconstruction not upscaling. Checkerboard 4k always starts from half the pixels of 4k so saying from 4,147,200 pixels is the accurate way of saying it.
Pragmatically 1920x2160 also works though it's technically not quite right.
It's definitely not 2560x1440 though like el analista said.
The textures in this game are of such high quality, literally makes it look like it was made for next gen. Only RDR2 tops this in terms of textures and overall fidelity according to me.
I have tried the photo mode of both and horizon has some unbelievably textures..
Many of them I culd not see the pixels when i was the closer i could. I have no idea how it works on ps4. Rdr2 textures have less resolutions but i visually prefer it

Having DualSense support would just be another reason to play it again. Just like 60fps, it is really transformative. Besides, we have to wait until next February for Forbidden West when we have Zero Dawn now. I can't imagine patching in a new controller profile would be much effort for a studio like them.
@@volatilelyle5170 agreed, but why would they even bother updating this one too far? There’s literally a new game coming out in the same series. I know It wouldn’t take that much time, but a lot of studios doesn’t consider putting dualsense features on ps4 games, not even ghost of Tsushima, until recently with a $10 cost. Also, February isn’t too far away in my opinion, it’s just 5 months, you can save up or work for more money and buy other games to wait.

Honestamente mas alla de la diferencia en resolucion y algunas settings en mas alta calidad, no veo grandes diferencias entre la PRO y PS5, al fin de cuentas es un juego desarollado y pensado para la PS4 y lo mismo va a pasar con GOWR.
Mi decision de esperar por la PS5 PRO es cada dia mas acertada.

Yeah, it's great. This and the recent Assassin's Creed Odyssey update (which I have on XSX) are great additions. I wasn't planning on going back Odyssey since I put 160 hours into doing everything in it and interest in AC was waning due to Valhalla being somewhat of a bore to me but I enjoyed playing it for a while. Horizon Zero Dawn, however, as we're coming up on the sequel has me thinking I might just replay it all. The 60fps makes a great game slightly better to play. The sound design though (aside from some voice work) is phenomenal. Dynamic range could perhaps be slightly better too, but it's not a big issue.
I've got a PS5 and will get an SX once I can actually get one, is that FPS programme as good as it sounds? I've heard most the AC games including a fully patched Unity and Prey are 60fps, can't wait.
@@greengrugach1984 It's nice, but I find it disappointing that a bunch of games are actually sticking to the Xbox One S resolution to make sure that the frame rate reaches 60fps or 120fps, in which case, the "boost" is off by default when a game was enhanced for Xbox One X (Far Cry 5). So far, since PlayStation, at least in my opinion, has many more good first-party games in which get upgraded, it's been more exciting to jump back into those, but the boosted games and Series enhanced games are good. I just wish they could/would get games out faster, as well as boost not only frame rate, but also res for older games. When it comes to the boosted games, off the top of my head, the one I enjoyed the most was Alien Isolation. I have it on PS4, but since it's on Game Pass and runs at 60fps with the same image quality as the PS4 version, I'd rather play it on Xbox. Actually, I appreciate The Division 1 as it sticks to 4k but you get both 60fps and HDR, so it's basically on par with two.
A 60 second clip of just side by side gameplay would've saved most 9 minutes and showed us what we needed to see 👀 👏

La versión de PC salió rota pero ahora es una maravilla.
La versión de PS5 va genial, pero aún le faltan cosas que se añadieron en la versión de PC como el follaje dinámico, FOV, framerate desbloqueado, soporte ultra wide, reflejos mejorados y mejor oclusión ambiental, sombras y texturas.
No hace falta que pisotear a una versión para decir que otra es buena
@@Randy28CR lo digo por el hecho de que Days Gone salió muy bien en PC, mientras Horizon necesitó parches para llegar al rendimiento al que PS5 con un solo parche llega a correr. Obviamente la de PC tiene mejoras de filtrado de texturas, Antialiasing, follaje dinámico, calidad de sombras, LOD, ambient oclussion, etc, pero debes tener en cuenta de que es una versión retrocompatible, manteniendo el mismo apartado técnico que la versión de PS4 Pro pero con el framerate desbloqueado de PC, algo asi como el Finai Fantasy XIII de Xbox One X que se basa en los gráficos de la versión 360, pero haciendo el parche a 4k, manteniendo el mismo apartado gráfico, aunque en la One X/Series X mejoran el filtrado de texturas y claridad de la imagen en juegos retrocompatibles de Xbox clásico, 360 y One
@@SeiyaDLuffy te voy a ser muy sincero. En este momento, el port de Horizon Zero Dawn funciona mejor que el de Days Gone a dia de hoy. Los tengo a ambos en Steam y los dos acarrean cosas de la versión de PS4.
Horizon Zero Dawn: pop in en ciertas texturas, pero muy pronunciado en algunas sombras a lo largo del mapa.
Days Gone: microstuttering
Ambos son buenos ports, pero te lo digo porque tengo ambos en Steam y ya me los terminé con una GTX 1070.
Horizon ocupa una gráfica más potente en comparación a Days Gone, pero la versión de PC es extremadamente estable. Durante todo el tiempo que jugué (a partir de diciembre) no recuerdo algún stutter o Big gráfico fuera de los que ya vienen de la versión de PS4.
Ojalá que Nixxes haga lo mismo que hizo con los Tomb Raider de PC en los próximos ports de Sony.

Y sobre el Days Gone el stuttering ocurre en todas las plataformas, creo que ya es un defecto del motor, como el de Cyberpunk

Jesus, those loading times on PS4! Even though I have played HZD on PS4 I used an external SSD and loading times were around 30 seconds.

It depends on the implementation, sometimes it looks like shit (RDR2, Avengers) and other times almost identical as a native resolution (HZD, GOW, Days Gone, Sekiro, RE8, etc)
