This was from his 2019 album, Igor, era. He does more singing on that album which is why you may have been thrown off.
This era of Tyler the Creator is the Igor era ,The whole album( Igor) is a bit more emotional and open about his relationship with men.. for instance this song is actually about a guy who he wants to be with but the guy's girlfriend keeps getting in the way that's why he says he has a magic wand to make her disappear

This is the era of IGOR. Made in 2019, which is basically one of the many personalities of Tyler along his 14 years of musical career. This album represents a Love Triangle between Tyler, his boyfriend and a woman that his boyfriend would eventually get in love with. There are two sections divided in the album, which is the beginning of happiness and the realization with sorrow but just a little bit of hope.
NEW MAGIC WAND is the last song of the first section before the second one which begins in A BOY IS A GUN*. The song talks about how Tyler is tired about that woman being interfering in his relationship. Tyler attempts to threat his boyfriend to choose between him or the woman, if he doesn't make a choice, Tyler will use a magic wand to kill both. This is the darkest song of the album and I'd say that a great word to describe the song is "Despair".
