- a great month out with dad the evenings are creeping out some ground being turned we had some great finds hope you enjoy the show trying to get on with the D11 so finds rate dropped a bit but will pick up after a while

At 09.35 the coin appears to be a Spanish "cob" type coin. I have found and recorded several of these found on the Thames. Just wish I could find a hammy or two.....

he was low on silver so they started to mix more copper with the silver debased it and it spots withh copper cheers a lucky guess
they found one of these on Oak Island in the Swamp marked with and 8 and it was identified as spanish as well... cool

@@SkullDiggeryDigger are you referring to the squarish item at 8.55 if so it would help instead of being sarcastic you just said so, I don't recall the commentary speculating anything was spanish.If you didn't know about the Oak Island find you would be no wiser as well.

There really wasn't any commentary they superimposed text saying it was a Spanish coin on the video. Maybe you didn't notice that to which is totally possible. I meant no disrespect I suffer from a very logical and analytical mind and I don't always realize how some text can be easily misinterpreted as sarcasm. But yes it was the square looking coin at that video time stamp. Hope there are no hard feelings, as that was not my intention. Cheers 😁

they were useing debase silver in his reign due to a shortage of it so you get copper spots in the coinage cheers chris
