Splicing a fixed permanent loop into paracord for ridgelines and guy lines

    In this (not allowed out 'cos of lockdown so doing things indoors) video, I show how I set a fixed, permanent loop in to a length of paracord by splicing the cord into itself and then whipping the ends for neatness.
    Relatively easy to do if you have something with a point on it. I use my soldering iron, but a nail would work just as well. When I spliced the loop on my ridge line, I didn't use the needle nose plyers, but it was certainly a lot easier with them.
    Oh yeah....added random music to keep Stevo happy :D

    That’s like a mobius Brummell locking splice on steroids 😋 it typically only has two “splicings,” or whatever haha. That definitely is a permanent loop. Nice work

    Commonly known as a lazy eye splice, marline eye splice or tucked eye splice.

      @@owtnabowt2723 well at moment we stuck in , it’s always good to mix a bit .. we done lockdown fire..cook..& garden camping last lockdown, garden is waterlogged at moment , or I do more ....keep it coming .. cheers Chris & Sam

      @@chrisandsamlivingthedream i might try and do something (garden based) this weekend. Although your garden does look a little larger and flatter than mine. Still need to properly test my cold weather sleeping kit.
