Oh wow-Paula Cole is in this??!! Was just going to say out of the original Genesis group Peter Gabriel was always my favorite. He's brilliant and creates brilliant music, and this is such an incredible song! Had to stop by and see this one!

Peter Gabriel and the WOMAD music festival was amazing. It was a major world music festival with Peter closing out the show on several stages of international music. The latter 80 s and 90 s saw many music festivals from this festival to farm aid, to Lilith festival to Lollapalooza, etc. This one was pretty exceptional and Gabriel demonstrated his wide range of musical influences in his band and his own musical sound. Love this song. The female vocalist here is Paula Cole who toured with Gabriel but also had a solo career.

During the time Peter was going through a divorce, his youngest daughter Melanie, around 7 or 8 years old, was not able to understand why her parents were breaking up. She was hurt, confused and afraid and stopped talking to Peter. He wrote the song
