In this video you will see a full setting up of a homemade power hammer. This power hammer is a homemade one. It is made by the blacksmith's friend in Banteymeanchey province, a province located in the west of Cambodia. Both the blacksmith and his friend are very creative. They many many items from scrapes, especially, from leaf springs, chainsaw bars, iron rods, and other broken steel. His friend made it for him for about $1200 and sent it to him. He does't set it up for him. then the blacksmith and his striker install it by themselves. It takes a few days for them as they are so busy making items for the customers. Hope this hammer will help them a lot and they can produce enough items on time for their customers.
Please watch and give them advice about their new tool.
Don't forget to subscribe for more videos regarding to the blacksmithing.

Videos like this are why I love CZcams. Someone half a world away sharing their life with us. Thank you!
Yep, ya really have to appreciate what you have when you see this type of ingenuity.
I love how guys in Asia and other countries use what they have to the best of their skill. In the west you see videos of men with work shops that are over stocked with all the latest gadgets just for a hobby their work is good but not making money out of it and appears they would be lost without all the power tools.Watching this guys video shows that skill is the most important tool he doesn't have a big anvil but crests amazing stuff. This is a lesson for people I think.
Its a common delusion that people in the third world are more ingenious and hard working, in fact its nonsense .

let's take a moment and appreciate the precision required to measure out and place 6 screws into wet concrete so that they perfectly match the holes on a prefabricated frame.

I'm glad you got yourself a power hammer... very well built ... bye from italy ..
Congratulations on you're new Power Hammer! :D Now you're wife will be saved from trying to swing the big sledge hammer, when you're striker is away. Thank you KK Daily for helping him and for showing us this wonderful hammer. Later, I'm sure a better clutch will be fitted.
Honestly, I sometimes want his wife to work with him to show people that women can do heavy work like men
. She is so inspirational. She told me she wanted to be able to polish the when her husband didn't have a striker
@@AmazingKKDaily Thank you. I know that women are very strong and determined. My wife is a good example. ;D

Felicidades desde México, eres un excelente herrero
I like it. This is for his livelihood and it's all pretty serious business. You know if that was in the US and a bunch of buddies were setting that up, they'd be like a bunch of giggly school boys. lol.
I'm sure, like any new tool, that once he gets it tuned up and dialed in it will both increase his output by a substantial amount and save a lot of wear and tear on that striking arm.
I Love this Channel... Thanks for Sharing

That toolls gíven by your frien, that's very useful toolls, i hope you can also use that as a bearing pusher. Bye.
So good you got a power hammer, this should make work easier and faster for you. Hope you get all the bugs worked out.
You're are right bro
One suggestion... Add a bicycle one-way sprocket on the wheel which is directly connected to motor. Otherwise the rubber rings will wear out and will need replacement often
Aditya. Please explain how this suggestion would help. I certainly don't understand what you mean, or how it would help.
@@Afro408 you see the pedal pushes the rubber belt up into the rotating wheel to operate the hammer. Rest of the time the wheel connected to the motor keeps running and slipping on the rubber belt.
This is slightly dangerous as well as it may cause belt to wear out faster.
My suggestion is to attach a one way sprocket to the axle so that the wheel would not slip when pedal is not pushed down. It will operate in the same manner as when u stop pedalling on a bicycle.
This will save the belt from wearing out faster
@@Afro408 i may be wrong, so i do apologise if that's the case
@@adityamuley87 No need for an apology. I can see what you're getting at, but it is not the same as freewheeling on a bicycle. Everything on that machine is turning in the same direction and not being reversed. Do you see? Think about it a little more. The drive is on the opposite end of the system than on a bicycle. What he needs is a clutch on the motor itself and that would be perfect! :D
@@Afro408 yes of course. I see your point now. A clutch would work wonderfully well

It`s OK. But don`t be forgetting to oiled all threaded connections and non painted metal parts with grease like "Solidol". Especially in such humid climate zone as South-East Asia.

I really enjoy your channel and love watching the blacksmith work, please keep safe. OK don’t go over the top like the U.K. where even crossing the road is risk assessed, but take sensible precautions. What is the blacksmith's name please?
