I love this idea for adding something extra to journal gifts! Especially for kids!
This is so great, I made one for my husband and he really likes it. Enjoying your videos, your ideas are so fun to make and useful. I had to subscribe for more paper crafting ideas, they are very unique.
My daughter is a director at a Catholic School so making these would be a lovely gift for her & for her staff. And I'm thinking my grandson's in scouts, my granddaughter's in singing... they have other teachers, after school activities this could be a great little gift for everyone thank you so much for sharing Gi!!! I made one of the pen holders as I watched the video. It turned out nicely, but when I put a pen into it, the paper came unglued at the bottom. I guess I should have waited until the glue was set. My bad! I made mine out of flowered paper, and made it left over right, like a Japanese kimono. Then I used plain paper, in a nice green colour, to make an obi. I wanted mine to look like a kimono. I'll use Yuzen Washi paper next time, as it is more soft, and pliable. Thank you for sharing this cute idea! I'm going to make some for my cousins and my aunt! Stay safe! ~Janet in Canada

Love this little pen holder. So simple to make, and even a great way to use up paper. This project can add a little bling to those shopping list or note tablets that can be purchased inexpensively.
