Then after Jay-Z left the office he calls Irv Gotti five minutes later and told Irv Gotti to let him get the record. Irv Gotti was like, 'What record?' and Jay-Z said "The record y'all doing niggas, this shit hot" so Irv Gotti put Jay-Z on the phone with Ja Rule and Ja Rule gave Jay-Z the flow and hook of the song.
