I think that people who have been lifetime Jovi fans get a renewed sense of what this song is about when there aren't any distorted guitars getting in the way of these fantastic lyrics.

i used to sing in a church choir with over 60 year olds and we used to love singing this song after hymn practise,... we use to sing any mainstream songs for fun and this one was one of our particular fav's....easy melody with simple lyrics...very enjoyable song to sing with 25 other choir members...one of the few pop songs that doesnt have lewd or nasty hidden meanings in it....rev jbj

Now, This year has been incredibly tough, in August we lost our 15 year old cat, in October my beloved 16 year old cat passed away and today we had to let go our 8 year old dog. I used to complain about the same thing. Been a huge fan of acoustic stuff for years and Bon Jovi is one of, if not THE best. Gotta just enjoy it and see the "acoustic" artists and know that its them showing their TRUE talent without studio help. The plugs are mainly for getting the sound in digital format to dispense to places like You Tube :D Just enjoy it brother
