    On your turn 1 you could play hundred winds close the chain. Then homage to ancestors gaining 1 and transcending. Use the 1 to play descendant then chi for a tiger and bonds. Then red bonds into the aspect (last card in your hand), then red hundred winds from bonds banishing the blue.
    End of this line also leaves you with your spinning as a starter for next turn

      That's a great line! There was so much that I could've done better with that turn. I really need to start prioritizing my Bonds lines whenever I can get them.

    Finally! Been a watcher for a while despite having no interest in playing Fai or Kayo, now I get to learn more and more effectively about playing Zen, a hero I can actually be excited to play! Thanks for the video and I'm looking forward to improving at the hero along with you

      I think on your second turn there was a 21 dmg line sending spinning from arsenal then breaking the chain, and using descendant into zen to find bonds, bonds tutors another spinning and you can use all of your cards and resources, dont get the descendant in arsenal but then wouldn't have had to defend it from cnc, just another potential line you hadn't mentioned :)

      Does this line assume that I kept the Art of Body instead of blocking with it? Without a fifth card to play with, I believe I'm one resource short of being able to play Descendent and SWK (because I have to pitch my Chi into Zen).
      EDIT: Oh I see, you're saying that I pitch Hundred Winds to pay for SWK and Descendent. That's a better line! I still transcend and I also get to work some needles in.

      @@Lupinefiasco I think I also counted a resource short but you'd just swing one less needle for 19 total value rather than 21, would pitch the blue hundred winds for 3 and get 1 more from kasaya to pay for 2 spinnings, descendant, and a needle. Body is worth 3 value either attacking or blocking, whichever you choose to do but I think attacking is almost always the move in the deck if given the choice

    Hey! Been watching all your videos since Bright Light and just wanted to say thank you! I don't have much tome to practice myself so watching your gameplay with commentary really helped me improve a lot, learn the match ups and feel confident in my locals. Happy to see you switch to Zen for now, since I've wanted to go back to ninja when they announced him, but then I had doubts, that if you'd choose to stay on Kayo, I wouldn't have this educational content anymore XD

    Love how you’re learning and explained the “imagined line” from heroes like Katsu. Where for example, you’d have to play out in your head lines where you hit or not and how that changes your hand. Been playing zen a ton and I’ll be taking him this weekend to Aussie nats. It’s a really fun rewarding hero to play once you get those “imagined lines” figured out through reps!

    • @Lupinefiasco
      @Lupinefiasco  Před 6 dny +1

      It's wild how complex the imagined lines are. This is the first Zen video on the channel and already there are multiple comments (your included!) explaining the different and more optimal lines that exist for every hand. This will be the first time in over 200 games where I have to go back and really review the video itself to see what people are talking about!

    I think turn three is actually a good reflection opportunity on armour value. Cnc is so demanding, but if you land on using traverse, kasaya loses a lot of importance, since you get so much chi next turn. Tiger swipe is even better on an aow turn, especially with grains in hand. I also think its better to open with needles so you can pitch another blue for levels. Great gameplay!

    • @Lupinefiasco
      @Lupinefiasco  Před 5 dny

      You're saying the line is block with all of my armor? Followed by Tiger for 0, double transcend, pitch into Zen to find... probably Tiger Swipe since I already have 1, then use the second Chi to play AoW banishing the Tiger I just made?

    • @Shiftyprince2-yj1ub
      @Shiftyprince2-yj1ub Před 5 dny

      Sorry I was on the way out the door! You have so little to pay for and an effective block in drop. You can double transcend on defense, then keep shuko blocking 5 with armor and aow the tiger away, drawing 2 and free to bonds maybe another swipe, maybe not after drawing

    • @Shiftyprince2-yj1ub
      @Shiftyprince2-yj1ub Před 5 dny

      Then you draw into a levels you can full buff, and a grains for tiger swipe, nice!

  • @Karkman87

    Question for 25:49:
    WOuldnt it be best to shove 2 needles into enemy Zen's face to use the resource, then pitch "A Drop in the ocean" for levels and double transcend getting 2 resources back while being able to use all 3 modes by pitching into Zen.
    Edit:
    28:50 if you would have used the Draw from Levels first you probably would not have gotten a Shifting Winds, because you Tutored a card first and therefor shuffled.
