    I'm happy that Stan did prove himself to others that he wasn't a one-hit slam winner!

    Great win from Wawrinka, shame the rest of his year was a bit shit, at least up until the World Tour Finals. I usually watch the highlights of this match up until Stan breaks in the second set because after that it's just not worth watching, i felt almost more sorry for Stan who would most definitely have felt he'd deserved the match more if Nadal had been in better shape, but good on Nadal for giving the people a match to see, couldnt have been easy for him either.

    I loveeeeeee Wawrinka. HE overtook Murray as the 4th best of his generation in my opinion. Not because he was better than Murray all the time but Id place my money on prime Stan vs prime Murray if I had to win 1 match

    Great highlights. Stan shows he has what it takes to beat cheap moonballers with aggressive tennis!

    • @anubhav111196
      @anubhav111196 Před 7 lety +1

      deathbombs You said cheap moonballers.... well only cheap is you, aggressive tennis is good and everyone cannot play the same way and associating moonballing with nadal is ridiculous.

    • @deathbombs
      @deathbombs Před 7 lety

      Premier League Freak Yes and he moon balls a lot. When he can't hit a good shot he hits it as high as he can, that's more like volley ball than tennis, anyone could do that but Nadal does it the most it's dirty trick that beginners use to hope opponent make an error instead of playing actual tennis

    • @anubhav111196
      @anubhav111196 Před 7 lety +2

      deathbombs So then what you are trying to say that you should just concede lose to an aggressive player as you can't hit as fast as your opponent, well not everyone thinks like that nadal would rather fight all day 'moonballing' and thats why people call him 'warrior'.

    • @deathbombs
      @deathbombs Před 7 lety

      Premier League Freak using it defensively is normal, but he's different in how he exploits all the time until opponent gives a weak shot. just hit it above opponents head and he wins points, cheap and easy tactic especially if opponent is not a tall player

    • @anubhav111196
      @anubhav111196 Před 7 lety +2

      deathbombs Its not cheap, its tactical and that more is like survival, which was a tactic used by our ancestors against wild animals, and its not an easy tactic otherwise everyone will use it but they can't as they are not so physically strong.

      @tristarbidtobuyhome2951 Před 9 lety

      TheSoftwareJunction too early to call.... when the whole world believes that a 33 year old player can win one more grand slam title whereas he is gifting easy slams to Djokovic .... Nadal is just out of confidence and has lost his forehand a bit.... actually he is in a position that he has lot of points to gain, nothing to lose situation and a perfect platform for a full monty comeback....

    • @gazorpazordfieldii3084
      @gazorpazordfieldii3084 Před 8 lety

      Tristar Bidtobuyhome What people are questioning is Nadal losing confidence in the first place? He's 28 or 29 years old, still in his physical prime, like Djokovic is now and Federer back in 2009-2010.
      Such as Agassi when he fell down to the 90s in the rankings. Yeah, his comeback was wonderful, but he should never have dropped off. The point is, at his still young age, Nadal shouldn't *be* in a position where he has to stage a career comeback.

    • @natoskull2
      @natoskull2 Před 8 lety +1

      +Tristar Bidtobuyhome Man, let's face it. Just watch how still he remains at some so called "easy balls", he knows his body is not responding as it used to. He KNOWS it... plus his lack of confidence... just a terrible combination... I think his gamestyle was just too demanding for his body, now he's just seeing the consequences of it. Hope he returns at his past level, some day. Although he may not accomplish to stick to it for too long, but it would be nice to see the old rafa doing as he did before, eventhough it was for a short period of time.

  • @tristarbidtobuyhome2951
    @tristarbidtobuyhome2951 Před 9 lety +2

    All the persons who have commented negative about Rafa must have lost money betting betting for Federer in the semifinals :) .. all they can say is why dint he get injured in the semifinals which is the only way federer can beat him :) ... however stan played a great tournament and it was unfortunate that Rafa got INjured... could have been a great final....

  • @anubhav111196
    @anubhav111196 Před 7 lety +1

    One thing that makes Federer fanboys je** off is watching nadal loose and then commenting he is a loser, that is due to the fact that they have seen roger being owned by nadal so many times.

  • @jlwebster9
    @jlwebster9 Před 8 lety +1

      Justin Webster who's then the greatest?, i really want to know.

  • @Bostero3771
    @Bostero3771 Před 10 lety +18

    Wawrinka was beating Nadal clearly. Then after he broke in the second set, Nadal went into one of his "injury" modes...then claimed he suffered the back spasm during warm-up and then his uncle said it had bern bothering him for 5 days. Give them some time and the injury will go back to 2011 and he entered the court in a wheelchair, just like when he lost to Sodeling in 2009, Murray at the AO 2010, Rosol in 2012 just to mention a few. Sore loser.

    • @teflonmagnet
      @teflonmagnet Před 9 lety +2

      hey, that's a pretty good pun...sore loser. when he begins to lose, his body gets sore...unfortunately, not the case. and nadal certainly wasn't a poor sport about it when congratulating Stan's victory at the net.

    • @deathbombs
      @deathbombs Před 9 lety

      Lol yup and he tries to blame his loss on being injured as much as he can in injury mode.

    • @tristarbidtobuyhome2951
      @tristarbidtobuyhome2951 Před 9 lety

      he lost the first set , fine... but how many time we have seen him come back and winning ...... in this match he did not come back and win because he was seriously injured .... even last year Djokovic won the first set in french open, but Nadal won ..... just dont hate him because he is thrashing your favourite player on court...

    • @chinnygold3643
      @chinnygold3643 Před 9 lety +3

      Bostero3771 i used to think same too but with the new found respect i have for nadal, i don't believe anymore that he faked that injury. he is a fourteen time slam champion. you don't get that many slams except you are a great fighter. wawrinka was surely handling nadal in that first set but nadal's injury meant that nadal could not compete to his full capacity in the subsequent sets. also there is no way a champion like nadal will throw in the towel like that in a final, instead of putting up a good fight if he was fully fit. tough luck for nadal but an excellent and well deserved win for wawrinka.
