With ABI positioning itself as the more casual Tarkov do you think BSG should look at these Realism mods and AI mods and maybe move further back towards Tactical and Hardcore (actual Hardcore not just annoying and punishing without reason) while still implementing some of the QoL changes (like no 1 button picks correct healing item, but healing items heal across multiple limbs) ?
Looking forward to this. I've not had the best experience so far with SPT (weird AI), but definitely want to get it running the way you have.
Hope this will include config and settings for each mod too, AI and spawns seem tuned nicely and it looks great!
SPT really is incredible, from the bot logic mods, to insanely realistic mods, it really gives a much more immersive experience.

@mattdayman9632 I got 2k hours in eft live and ive been playing since 2018 and I am not bad at the game there is just something to be said about how good the game feels in spt and how well the bots work.

I think the reason SPT is so immersive without players is specifically because you don't have actual players. There's no one doing things that you would only do in a video game and with mods you can make the AI fairly realistic although still a little dumb sometimes. There's no 5 stack on factory offices literally standing on each others shoulders camping me, there's no one bunny hopping through the air while running away from me in an attempt to dodge my shots, there's no one standing on a 2 inch rotted wood ledge above a doorway waiting for some poor sap to come through, no one on a discord call with their buddies giving them information about me after they're dead.
Live Tarkov will always give you more of a challenge than bots ever will but SPT will actually immerse you in the game instead of treating it like any FPS where you abuse game mechanics to get any little advantage possible. And part of that is BECAUSE the bots are easier you aren't forced to do stuff that's immersion breaking or else you go on a 20 raid losing streak because you started playing half way through a wipe.
I agree. The immersive crowd (I mostly fit in here) would be so much happier in a PVE game with AMAZING AI than in any pvp game...no matter how it's balanced. Because metas will develop and they will never match 1:1 with reality, thereby breaking immersion.

I don’t know anymore. The bots may actually be a better challenge then real players with the new AI mods available. They constantly freak me out.
Exactly. Much easier, but still offers a decent challenge while being even more immersive. The QoL aspect is also super important. The fact that I have to mod in an option for "only show me parts available from traders" on the preset screen is just one example of a simple fix that would make the online experience so much better.
Sptarkov is perfect! No cheaters you can adjust the game to how you want it and it has multiplayer! It just shows how lazy BSG is if these amazing modders can do all this for free
And it runs LOCAL! While those scammers from russiya sell lies that there is no way for them to give PvE for every EFT package as it will need tons of servers! What a f**** dumb liar this damn Nikita is!
9:00 It's worth noting that the rework changes in Realism mod predate BSG's recoil rework by about a year, give or take.
There was another standalone recoil rework at the time that made recoil like new CODs (valens recoil?)

The mods for SP have made it so much more enjoyable than standard EFT - even just the visual mod alone & SAIN.
Feels more tarkov then real tarkov
i downloaded the mod because of your last video on it a couple weeks ago. I am still STUNNED with how well the AI PMCs work. There have been moments where I legitimately forgot they were not a real human.
The raids feel more "alive" than on actual tarkov honestly. went to woods a few times and there were sometimes minutes long gunfights around the map.

I would recommend the mod That's Lit which works well with SAIN. It basically makes bots even more like real players, weaknesses included, for example the ability to blind them with flashlights and being harder to spot while in dark areas or at night. The flip side to this is the AI have much faster reactions to you if you are in a bright area and can also notice lasers and flashlights.

Hopefully Nikita comes off his high horse and actually does pay attention to this, and does take inspiration from the SPT craze.
I do not think it is 'easy' like that. First of all, Nikita is a good business man. He will make descissions that will benefit the profit. Everything Else comes next. Knowing that afterthey baned so many cheaters the game price was directly on a discount... Says it all imo.

I never understood their reluctance to support the SPT:AKI community. The modifications they make could be passed through to the client in seconds.
They should have made a profit share offer in allowing mods to be monetized and generating a single player version. Make custom game servers host able for a fee and have someone make the offline coop mod too. All of these things would make their existing IP a platform that they get a chunk of each thing sold.
But they are clearly not about building a game for the community that is fun and what the players want. They are about shameless cash grabs
SPT-AKI is amazing. I set a mod config so that the likelihood of me running into both Scav and PMC groups is highly possible.

i wonder if there will ever be a pvp LAN-style... meaning 3 friends vs 3 friends for example or something... whatever your bro-setup is when going for a LAN. that could be cool...kinda DM with friends on a rather realistic setting.

Yeaaaah im gonna need this modpack. All I have currently are realism, swag_donuts, questing bots, and the graphics mod. A video breaking down things like the high/low ready stances and med system would be super helpful as well!
Recoil angle and those other stats on the weapons is actually in Tarkov itself, they are just hidden from view. That is why not every 70 recoil weapon feel the same. 2 weapons with similar stats can feel very different, and there are more than a few hidden stats, even a camera shake modifier which differs from gun to gun. I remember watching a video about that.

you can find the clip of him showing his list by looking it up on YT. He uses the SAIN suite, amands, waypoints, and a few others.

After watching your videos and others on SPT, I finally gave it a chance, and I'm never going back to live.
It gives me the same feeling as the trailer when u first played the game.
A squad of Bears yelling at me in Russian, then running away when I kill 1 or 2 of their guys...
So how do you play this version of the game? Do you buy the regular one and mod it?
After playing about a days worth of the official PVE with its dumb Ai and static spawning PMC's I can definitively say that SPT is a far, far superior game to the official game, the devs really need to start taking notes, especially concerning Ai and fog removal. The Ai in SPT are more fun to fight that real people in my opinion, the chattiness of them adds so much to the game, and with mods like questing bots, swag + donuts and waypoints allowing bots to naturally roam around the map as well as actively try to complete quests is insane and HAS to come to base game or the devs are just lacking imo. The plethora of features added with SPT + mods are all welcome additions and I highly recommend that anyone who enjoyed tarkov at any point, download and try out SPT. Its a completely different beast on a whole new level compared to vanilla tarkov.
I started playing SPT 10 months ago and never looked back at online Tarkov.
I never enjoyed Tarkov until I learned about SPT and the mods available for it. Now it’s all I want to play. It’s just incredible!

I think I need to change some mods for my spt. The PMC's always load up with meme builds for their guns.
You can still loot USEC camp, travel through mountain and loot through to Northern UN Roadblock while avoiding all enemies.

I can see you aim a bit to the side when you use active aim and you miss some shots that you are sure should be on target. I had the same issue. The way I fixed that is in realism mod almost all the way down there is a slider to move your weapon X,Y and Z. I only changed X so that a buttstock is a bit more to the center of the screen so its aligned with the barrel and not a bit to the side. Now I can hit much more distant shots when using active aim. It feels much better and your instincts where the center is kick in much more natural.
I wonder if you can do a rags to riches series with this hardcore mod enabled, I think that would be pretty fun. I also really enjoy the realism mod, I don't know how I feel about the limited traders and the healing system, but I think that it is a great step forwards compared towards normal tarkov

In real life, if you have a faceshield, you wouldn't really be able to hold the gun up, there is no space

I have to agree with you man this mods makes the game how every tactical gamer would want the game to be like. The changes in the realism mod are really good the only negative is the healing mechanics they are too realistic for this game and the pace that squads play it wouldn’t work good. Also the scopes changes with the t1 and t2 are actually usable
You can turn the healing mechanics off. Everything is customizable

the artificial zoom is from fov fix mod you can find the hotkey in its f12 menu and the stances (low ready and all that) is from realism mod

I love how whenever i die in SPT im like yeah i could've played that better i know where he was shooting from. In live its just SHOURTJURI whitename from god knows where
it makes sense for "scavs" to have scavenged weapons, not always default shit with no attachments
Not sure If I've installed something wrong. But after trying this with the top 7 or so most popular mods (including SAIN), I'm put off by horrendous AI. There's a stairwell in GZ where 3 times I've found bots (scav and pmc) running into a door that doesn't open and paying no attention to me (as a pmc) standing right behind them. And near one of the big gun tags for that early task in GZ there was a pmc bot standing staring at a wall that again didn't notice I was there. It can be good at times, but that's the most 'broken' I've ever seen the game.
A lot of this can come down to the order you install the mods, and the load order of the mods. Also you really need to tweak some settings and things depending on what you have installed. As you can see, most of us including Klean, have had no issue with the AI.

I believe the questing AI and looting AI mods "disable" normal AI fonctions when they are close to loot or a quest marker. I could be wrong but i faintly remember someone mentioning that.

Switched month ago, before al that drama. Actually enjoying tarkov more than ever. YOu can actually play it like a hardcore survival shooter. With realims mod and trader caps, it actually makes sence to do runs to kill players and take attachments so you can use the next raid etc. I like the added pouches and stuff and full customisation on how your raid experience will be. SVM mod helps you for example to get rid of those 60 bullet stack max and make it more (120 is what I have) You can change pocket sizes; container sizes. In general make it less tetris and more raid time =) you literally dont care about making money either, you just play the game. However with SAIN and SWAG mods, you gotta respect the AI as they will ambush you and make sure you will see loading screen again :p

Why the bots shoot me trough the doors in factory (the tiny map dont know if its that one), i was camping behind a door and i new he was in front of the door as i hear him, after 10 seconds or so he just tap me in the head trough the door. I have Sain installed

Does anyone else have issues with the world being almost slo-mo? I was running just fine for a while, but all of a sudden it went to shit. Whenever I kill something they drop like they’re in slo motion, and same thing with throwing my backpack off or dropping a gun. It is especially annoying when throwing grenades because they fly in slow motion, but the fuse is still in real time. If anyone else has had this issue I would love to hear.

I cannot get SPT mods to work. Shows missing .json files when I boot the server even though .json files are in the mod folders... :(
For most mods, you can just drag the zip file into your main SPT folder, right click it, and "Extract Here" with WinRAR.

The realism mod is completely broken for me. My bullets do not effect any entities/they literally don't exist, my mouse is perpetually aiming towards the sky such that I have to repeatedly drag my mouse down, but it still goes towards the sky, my hands are perpetually tremoring as if I am having a terminal seizure that never ends, no matter what. I am unable to use any stances such as high or low ready whether I change or use the original keybinds. It is actually unplayable. I tried to disable the idle arm stamina and just play without stances, but it sucks. I tried to shoot at enemies, but my bullets don't exist. I tried to shoot at enemies but my hands begin tremoring as if I am a 5 years old child. I tried to shoot at enemies but my neck is perpetually searching out the sky as if God compels me to search for Heaven. I also have Swag + Donuts and it seems the AI are just perpetually shooting at each other even if the one they are shooting at is behind cover. Their firefights never end as if ammo is infinite, which severely breaks my immersion, even more so than my inability to do anything.

For any one who wants to play Tarkov- ask a friend for an account, download the game, then spt (I'd recommend Realism mod and, of course, SAIN AI), and never run Live Tarkov. LT is a disaster of a game, when SPT is the game we've all seen in trailers. 3700+ hrs is my knowledge

Yeah that's normal unless you've got a pretty strong rig, unfortunately. I had to stop using the mod because of the same issue
