- A day in the life of a police officer...
On September 6, 2021, Salt Lake City Police Department received information about an intoxicated passenger onboard an American Airline flight. The man reportedly was growling and yelling racist, sexist, and belligerent comments at other passengers. He even demanded to get off the flight although it was still 30,000+ feet in the air. After the flight landed safely, police officers boarded the plane.

Danger Snow by Dan Henig
As a former bartender, one of the most annoying (non-violent) behaviors from drunk people is the CONSTANT repeating. This video highlights this perfectly.
Bruuuuh same! I'm not a bartender but I had experienced with the toxic relationship of 5 years of dealing with an alcoholic. Now I'm on a good break from it for about 6 years. My prayers are for u, my friend 🙏🏽

Do drugs *responsibly* kids.
@@Blank-41 Yes
@@Blank-41 No, drugs will ruining your life !
Honestly he’s probably just drunk. Most of the time when someone is acting weird or crazy while on something it’s just alcohol. Alcohol tends to impair you more than most drugs. And the drugs that impair you more tend to impair you to the point that you can’t do weird or crazy stuff. All you can really do is just sit or lay there. A lot of the time they’re also not on anything and it’s just a mental health episode or something neurological like psychosis.
@@Lingist081 you mean a airline would give enough alcohol to get to this point?

Thank you, I've been trying to state this with several comments. Drunks lie and drunks ooze self-pity and will make up any story that they think will make people think twice about judging them.
Ooh-Rah! As a Marine veteran, I can testify that a real soldier who acted like this would be beaten to a pulp by his unit. I honestly doubt this idiot is a veteran or he’d have been sent to the VA hospital to dry out, not a local civilian one.
Thankyou for your service Gary😊
So as a veteran are you saying that some of your brothers do not come back completely messed up in the head?? If that is so then you are not a true brother. Not all people are as strong as you and I have seen many ending themselves from the things they bring back with them. That is why so many are homeless because of the mental issues they get and YOUR government does nothing for them.

As I was watching I was thinking that a solid punishment for him would just be to show the guy how he was acting.
There’s something a hell of a lot more going on with this guy than just alcohol.
So many people have just lost it since the turmoil of the pandemic and all the political division in this country. This guy probably spent the last year before this flight reading right-wing conspiracies online and it just drove him insane.
Absolutely. He’s having a psychotic break. Probably alcohol mixed with medication of some kind.
Alcohol and an addiction to internet bullshit

He sounds like a veteran who has mixed PTSD with alcohol.
I will never understand why alcohol is served in airports. There are just too many people who can't handle it or don't know/accept their limits and then we end up with this mess. Add mental illness to the mix and it's just a sad situation all around.
I get why you may say that and on some level I would agree but to what end? We bubble wrap everything in society at the cost of freedoms and choice...we are forced to walk as slow as the slowest person in many cases. I really do enjoy my one beer before a flight, I relaxes me and helps pass the time before I board. There are so many freedoms relinquished at an airport and rightly so...please don't take away the dignity of allowing a rational person the right for an adult beverage.
money, why do you think it's so expensive there? alcoholics will buy it anyways so they might aswell charge extra
If someone wants to get hammered before a flight they don’t need the airport lounge to do it. And removing it won’t change that.
@@TheStealthbob That's a compelling argument. Maybe something in between where basically you have to get ID'd when purchasing alcohol in airports and service denied if you are blacklisted. I think this is reasonable given that alcohol served to the wrong person really can jeopardize a flight with basically few reasonable recourses while up in the air.
Or just not overserve people. I love having a cocktail before a flight, and most of us can handle it lol.

I’ve spent 25 years as a nurse in an ER and this isn’t just drunk. There’s something else going on with this guy. Drugs maybe or a pre-existing psychiatric condition. Either way the high altitude can exacerbate alcohol and/or drugs and make things worse. What a friggin nightmare
He said he was a veteran. He kept yelling about the "13 soldiers". There might be a possibility of a PTSD and trauma that got released with the consumption of alcohol. I love how he thinks he's getting arrested because he said "I think of America is not a disgrace". 😂
you have to be next level drunk when you think you’re on the ground mid flight 😂😂
I believe they were on the ground - they were still taxi'ing to the gate (don't know how to spell that 😂 basically driving the plane to the terminal)
@@BeenDead I've never had to question the spelling on taxiing until now. Lol googling it now 🤣
@@BeenDead Taxiing is correct :)
Had a girl on a HOU-DAL flight in May 2021 who was plastered. When we got to the gate, the FAs had to help her up and walk to the door. As she stood up, she asked "Where am I, anyway?" The FAs were champs. One responded "You're in Dallas, honey. You're supposed to go to Baltimore but we're not sure that's going to happen today."
That’s hard alcohol that gets you that drunk not beers
This guy should NEVER be allowed to fly EVER again.
The distress and grief the other passengers were subjected to will be remembered forever.
really? you think people are that soft? maybe the younger generation.
@@fingersmcoy they’re right.
All those people on the plane will have ptsd and need therapy for years.
Those poor poor passengers 😣 send them to therapy!
Yeah, this would suck to witness on a flight but I wouldn't be in distress and have grief or any other feelings other than hoping the guy gets some major help.
We all make mistakes when drunk. After seeing this of himself he probably quit drinking and flying. People who get caught drinking and driving should face never driving again. Why? He wasnt playing with anyone elses life unlike a drunk driver!!!
He’s not drunk, he’s wasted 😂
Im ready to give up my daily glass of wine.
He kept yelling "13 soldiers died, do you understand" Maybe there's PTSD & alcohol. Whatever it is, I hope he gets the help he surely needs.
Seems like a panic attack of some sort from PTSD… Honestly the dude probably needs therapy and meds
Hes talking about the 13 that US military personnel that died in Afghanistan in August 2021 during that terribly advised pull out, he mentioned "Biden" too...
@@TheAow4321 basically repeating what he saw on fox news
@@bradmikkelsen8960 I mean.. it's not like hes factually incorrect.. just don't understand the flip out in this manner tbh.
he also yelled "i'm a veteran" so maybe he was actually involved but idk
First class! Hate it when bad actors pull the veteran card. Hey dude, you are an embarrassment to your fellow vets.
Exactly my thoughts !
Exactly!!
If he was a veteran he would know that those 13 that were killed were Marines, not soldiers. This guy probably says he is a veteran so he can get cheap cell phones and free donuts on Veterans day.
@@flyingcolumn16 I noticed that too.
You right on the money. That shame on how he acted. He acted like a 3 to 5 year old. The police where right that wasn't pushed down. He actually fell down by himself
He shouldn't drink if he can't hold his liquor 😂😂
This is one of the reasons I hate flying and traveling in general.
I never understood why flights allow alcohol in the first place. Thousands of feet in the air is not the place to risk a drunk doing something stupid.
Okay-a total ban id drink could care less.
It’s not just alcohol.
More probably he got drunk waiting for his flight. A 2-4 hour delay or just simply getting to airport early can make traveling quite mundane and I admit I've gotten tipsy just killing time in an airport alone in the past. With that said this guy got everything coming to him.
Well they don't serve tou enough to get drunk on a flight.
I got cut off after 3 beers over 2 hours.
Money
Imagine having to deal with people like this every day. That would suck. 😔😬
sounds awesome 😍😍😍
I read up on this guy. He was a special ops marine captain. Half his platoon got wiped out in an ambush in Afghanistan. He received a purple heart for valor and bravery under fire for dragging two wounded guys to a rescue chopper.
@@leodf1 Should have known better then lol
@@steerpike50 nigga got crunk and made a scene what’s the big deal?
@@leodf1 And now his brain is rotting after watching too much Fox News looks like.
I’m always amazed that men who get drunk and act indignant when arrested for their bad behavior can’t keep their pants up.
I hope they showed him this when he was sober
And in court
That man needs some serious help he's not just drunk.
yea
He has looks like brain damage
PTSD
@@NurseVale33yeah no, i have complex ptsd and i dont act like that. This is something different.
There's absolutely no way he's only drunk. That's not drunk behavior. He took something & maybe drank with it but that's not 100% alcohol. Plus they wouldn't have served him that much alcohol & you can't board a plane drunk.
Oh you can board drunk I travel ALOT! I just play it cool & don’t draw any attention to myself
As the person above correctly stated, you absolutely can manage to board a plane drunk. He might also have mental issues which worsened the behaivor from his alcohol use. However, as a paramedic for 6 years, I can't count how many instances I've witnessed of behavior just like this that when tested, was proven to be solely alcohol related in terms of substances taken by that individual. For whatever reason, people do not like to put alcohol on the same pedestal as drugs which is why so many comments here are so adamant to claim this was more than alcohol. Alcohol was solely responsible for the vast majority of behavior such as this that I witnessed during those 6 years. As odd as it might sound to some, heroin addicts were heaven to deal with in comparison to alcoholics.
Idk man I’ve heard those preflight bloody Mary’s are rough
You can board a plane drunk. You just have to behave youself
He is drunk but he's also suffering from Republicanism. Tends to make people irrational, angry, racist and just a massive pile of dog shit. Don't drink and don't be a republican -- do it for your family.
I hope they showed this video to him......his momma be so proud
“Oh I’m sorry, I thought this was America…”
This is beyond sad and embarrassing to both him and his family. I hope he gets better. No one on any flight should ever be this sloshed.
I dont think there should be booze on planes for just this reason. The airport? whatever.. they can at least spot a drunk and keep them from boarding but once they're up in the air they're everyone's problem and its just not worth the trouble.
yeah there should be no alcohol on flights. why do you wanna drink in high altitude anyway? it feels like cats fighting inside your head. take edibles before your flight. don't drink alcohol.
He’s not going to get better. This is permanent. We’d all be much better if he disappeared without a trace.
Hope they threw his ass In Jail. Hiding behind “having a problem” is not an excuse and honestly this BS that “you’re not committing a crime, your just sick” bs is why most people will keep going back to their addiction and doing bad things to people and using this nonsense as a backdrop for reasons for their behavior.
@@YourWeirdAunt they only serve a max of two drinks on any plane....some airlines only one. Real drunks are wasted by the time they get to the airport. Last year i decided to hit the airport bar before my flight. after passing security check. Getting a seat in the bar I managed about 3 drinks before having to get to my gate. Then boarding. Taking off getting to altitude and finally the cart came by for a drink and I was already losing my buzz. By the time I landed I was hitting my first hang over and ready for bed time . I seriously wondered how real drunks do it. You really have to try! And you better have major expendable income. 3 drinks at bar, one on plane put me back about 60 dollars (including tip). Never again.
This is the equivalent of Randy Marsh from South Park getting arrested and drunkenly yelling "I thought this is America!"
I'm not allowed to stand up for myself?!
For real!!
I didn't hear no bell!
A friend of mine said that when her mother died after decades of alcohol addiction, the doctor said her brain was almost completely smooth, all the folds had disappeared. I think that’s happening here. He’s damaged his brain.
OMG........These police officers deserve a medal.
Omg It’s literally what my bio dad was like. I’ve never seen someone act like he would act in public. It’s a certain and very distinct kind of madness. Blind rage, alcohol. The way he was snarling & screaming. Seriously, I’m tripping out how this dude is the embodiment of my bio dad, so I’m just gonna trauma dump into the void of CZcams comments.
Thank you for sharing (:
I Hope you healed from that, and if not I hope you do soon
Made me think of my Bio Dad also...😟😕🙁
Hope you are well!
my condolences
i have my fair share of traumatic memories but not like this, i wish the best for you and wish that you have healed from this
I was on a flight returning from Mexico to Canada after there was this drunk women that literally kicked my seat and started yelling shit at me, she became so annoying, and the flight attendant wouldn’t do anything about it that around 6 passengers forced her in the toilet during turbulence and body-blocked the door, it was so weird but funny.
wow the flight attendant won't do anything?
@@vitasoy1437 Probably legal reasons as to why. They're not trained to do much more than politely ask people not to do things. Unless an air marshall is on, people won't risk their safety.
@@matterking1 Wrong, Pilots and flight attendants can legally do anything to you on a flight plane like a mini Country with the pilots as the kings.
@@matterking1 wow .. isnt the person "yelling and kicking seats" causing dangers for others and the flight crew? they would have the authority to restrain her in that case right? Maybe it's not the violent kicking I am thinking, that's why they didn't do anything. If it was like this guy, I am pretty sure they would do something..?
That happened to me on a flight. The guy was drunk and not only kicked ny seat - he also put his bare food on the seat divider! I notified the flight attendant and she put me in another seat.
Dude really said “grrr ra ra ra”
He must think he's a dog.
this dude isn't just drunk, he's ON METH
When you get carried off the plane like a suitcase instead of your luggage, you’re doing it wrong.
