I really like that guy. He is so good for the sport! Only thing i am a bit worried is the danger of burning too bright too young. But lets hope for the best and he listens to Bob's examples where guys overdid it.

Wyatt........Thanks for that feedback, Wyatt. To be honest, whenever I get the chance to interview Ryan Bolton, Sam long, Caroline Rotich, Ben Hoffman or Heather Jackson I love to get their thoughts on training with each other at one of Ryan's camps. They have so much respect for what the other person does for a living and how hard they work to be at the very top of their profession. For over 20 years we used to put on the Competitor Magazine Endurance Sports Awards where we honored the best runners, triathletes and cyclists on the planet. Watching Greg LeMond, Davis Phinney and other top cyclists chatting with runners Henry Rono, Mary Slaney, Eammon Coghlan and Steve Scott or top triathletes Paula Newby-Fraser, Mark Allen or Dave Scott was such a treat for me. Most had never met before but there was a mutual respect because everyone in that room understood how hard they worked to be the very best in their sport. Endurance sports is like that. They were bonded through the suffering they all had to go through to be great. I feel that transfers to today's athletes and I love it when Sam or Ben share an interaction or a training moment from their workouts with the Boston Marathon champion. Thanks again for watching Sam's interview!
For me in Europe, Sam burst on the scene with the Mount Lemmon attempt and has been a must see since. Real fun energy. Race face headphones pre-race and fan-time post race?
