I got my 392 new in early 22 when prices were still kinda low $80k out the door and I haven’t regretted it once. It has been so much fun to drive and I absolutely love it every time I get in it. I added the AWE exhaust as well and it just makes the sound of that V8 incredibly intoxicating. I’ll be hanging on to my 392 until death do us part.
I just registerd my 2024 392 yesterday .. best vehicle i've ever driven. I named mine "Rumbles"
Lol, if you make atleast $300k per year its worth it
Its worth every penny for the 392! Its a completely different animal and so much more fun. I wouldn't agree the steering is "worse" on my 392 than the V6 it does feel heavier but i prefer it. It feels mory "sturdy and planted" best way i can compare the two jeeps. Mileage wise in my experience, the 392 gets 3 mpg worse in all scenarios as long as you arent hotrodding around.
West's the INSURANCE cost difference, though?
@cpk2GIRL not sure. I switched companies so I dont have a direct comparison. I just looked and my comprehensive is 1600 per year on the 392. I'd imagine that's going to vary wildly depending on age and where you live
I am getting a 392 at the end of the year and as you said I want that to be my forever car.
It’s the final year you can order a 392 I would go order one before it’s to late. It takes a couple months for the vehicle to arrive
Bought mine last year and let me tell you man, lots of fun!
Not true they are coming out with a 2025.
Yes it's worth it, provided you can afford it. The 392 is basically a hot rodder. If you wanted a jeep + fast car, you'd spend more for two vehicles than the cost of the Wrangler 392 to get that level of performance. Thats why many manufacturers have high performance variants of their halo-type vehicles. If you just want a jeep for kickin around, then it's not worth it. Personally I think the 2.0t or the 3.6 is plenty, but I'm older and drive slow.
You hit the nail on the head. The EPA has to fudge the numbers on the V8’s in order to suit their agenda. Yeah yeah I know the turbos are probably better for the environment and what not but then just say that…don’t fudge the numbers! I have a 22 Ram 5.7 HEMI e-torque with a borla exhaust on it. Never going to sell it! I just wish RAM had put the 392 in the 1500!
Just got mine a month ago and it makes me smile everytime I start it.
They shouldn't have stopped offering the 3.0 Eco-Diesel
Agreed
No that was a big mistake taking away that engine I really wanted one too
@blakemarchand6650 politics. Hanging on to mine until the wheels fall off.
That was the engine I wanted. Once they removed the option I crossed the Wrangler off my list. Love the 392, but out of my budget.
@@zacharymitchellwtx good, I’m glad you got one don’t sell it
I barely have an extra $25 to order pizza 🍕 for the family tonight let alone an EXTRA $25k for a 392 V8.
Wouldn’t a RubiconX be more of a close comparison? Then the only difference would be the engine.
Insane cars Ben !! ❤❤
In buying my first jeep, to be MY2024, I was indecisive between the Rubicon X and the Rubicon 392. Someone suggested that if I am that close to considering the 392 but bought the X then every time I'd see a 392 I'd have thoughts about should I have bought the 392. That was a persuasive thought. Ultimately I chose the 392 and am very glad about it.
Brother it’s not apples to apples. You gotta compare Wrangler X to the 392. The X is only like $10,000 less than the 392.
Yes just for the fact it will hold over 25k in resale vs every other v6 on the market. Potentially a collector some day
As they say there is a Jeep for everyone ... But I need one of each to test which fits me best 😅
Ty for sharing
Does the damping in the 392 feel any better compared to the v6 with 35s?
Would love a 392 and could pick one up down the road as I think there are going to be alot more around used once folks start dealing with the corrosion issue.
Hey Ben you should do a comparison between your Jeep and your raptor
I agree Ben 392 All the Way, My friend.😅😅😅.
I leased the v6 rubicon X with the recon. The v6 is boring to drive. It can pick up speed ok if I give the gas pedal some love but I’m glad I leased bc I plan on getting the 392 used after the 3 years, hopefully.
Neither are worth their msrp. The average person will be much happier with their purchase if they save another 20k and buy the 2L turbo. It’s the sweet spot for the wrangler. More torque and more fun to drive than the slug v6 and way cheaper than the v8.
What a beautiful vehicle. I love wranglers.
If I owned a 392 the first thing I would do is get a Tazer and get it out of All wheel drive and upgrade to an Atlas Transfer case.
I’m planning on putting a 426 Hemi in my Gladiator soon. I’m simply going that route.😉
Having had 392 and v6 rubicon. 392 is way better. Sold the 392 way too early. Likely will have one once again.
392 for me the V6 still a good engine still has plenty of power
Totally! I don’t understand why people say it’s slow 🤷♂️
392 on a 2 door sport s? Hell yea
I agree with you. 392 all day for me. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Get what you’re saying, but once BUT here’s my dilemma
I bought a 2014 Rubicon, the following year I took it to Moab and then I ran the Rubicon trail with it. My Jeep is special to my now and I can’t see me ever parting with it.
Had the 392 been available back then sure I would have got one just for the daily drive.
However, I can’t see how a 392 would be any better at off road speeds climbing up the rubicon.
Just my 2c
I have 392’s one 2021 & one 2024. I love them both. I’m a jeep man and I really love All the V6’s but I have had some wired experiences when they see me driving my cars. One they want to race me and expect to win. They’ll never beat a V8 6.2. Once they see they can’t beat me they get upset. I’m like what did you expect ? Also broncos hate jeeps. 2 bronco raptors have tried to race me and they couldn’t make it. They want the bronco to be the best off road, powerful and fast car and they aren’t.
they should have a 5.7 option
Take both jeeps love both jeeps good off road
Now i understand it impractical. I understand its out ragous but i would daily drive this dispite the serious gas it inhales. Love the 392 wrangler just wish it wasnt 100k+
I just wish they made the 392 in a Gladiator! That would been the right way to go!
It’s like comparing apples to oranges, two totally different purposes for different buyers
I wouldn’t get rid of my 3.6 for the 392. I’d rather get a Bronco but the Bronco doesn’t have a V8, and my wrangler is paid off thus here we are 😂
The all wheel drive alone is worth the 25k
If only they made a 392 2 door model.
What is it with you car commenters obsession with 2 door models
Wrangler 392 or TRX?
I posted that comparison
There’s NO replacement for displacement…
V8s FOR LIFE!!!!!
@@IDKline great minds think alike! 😉👌
V6 👍
If only the 392 came in a manual... So I bought the 3.6 :)
Compare 392 to 4xe, they are pretty close on paper in power.
having owned them both - on paper doesnt mean anything betwixt the two. The 4xe is awful.
@@elrev07 they are less than a half second in the quarter mile and . 6 in zero to 60. The 4xe beats the 392 in 40-100. I haven't driven a 392 but it just seems like a rip off for a motor that isn't even that big.
@@philipparana9225 drive both then get back to me. Life isn’t always 0-60. Or 40-100.
I have both. Both are awesome. The 4xe is almost as fast, the 392 launches harder but from a roll they aren't far off. The 392 sounds amazing, the 4xe is fun to cruise around in with no noise. If I had to pick one its the 392 but both are sweet machines.
nice if you can afford it.
wish i some fun money😢...
if my lottery #s come out im there!!!❤😂😅
Huh, didn’t show the pricing, convenient.
He said it many times. starts at $87,595
Remember my uncle bought 2015 X5M for 98k powered by a muscular 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that now puts out 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque!
392 seems fine if you stay on pavement. If your going to take it in the dirt, prepare to replace the tcase with an atlas. I ended up getting rid of my 392 due to repeated tcase failures when off pavement. For fun: My 2021 V6 etorque averaged 18-19mpg in socal over 10k miles. My 2022 392 averaged 17-18 in socal on same routes over 3k miles.
Wrangler is eh... it's playing keep up now. Ford has the better and newer platform. Putting a V8 in these is ok but not for 100k! The V6 is just old and slow
Unpopular opinion
@@blakemarchand6650 it's a fact.
@@ripperx444 it’s not a fact lol that’s a strong word to use for this subject don’t you think. I feel like it’s an opinion
@@blakemarchand6650 he even told you in the video! Read between the lines. Jeep was half assing it until ford came out with a Bronco. They had tk re-gear this thing and make it compete again. Their answer to a raptor was to throw a V8 in the same wrangler lol common
@@ripperx444 and I think it was a great decision I own both and I enjoy driving my wrangler more because of the V8
100k for a Jeep 🤣
$ 25,000 MORE TO GET A V8........NOPE
