The single highest shell velocity shell in the game is the British tier 8 heavy chieftain’s premium. It’s even faster than the T-62s shell. The fastest reload belongs to the British tier 5 heavy Churchill I. It’s stock gun with its best turret gives you about a 2.5 second reload
Churchill, when maxed out, has a 2.2 reload and with adrenaline, it gets to 1.73, and with the maxed out adrenaline rush crew skill, it goes all the way down to 1.56
The Cheiftain has 1,570 M/S base shell velocity with its APCR (Can get to around 2K m/s) But in regards to AP, the Grille 15 has 1,350 m/s base velocity (can get to around 1,800 m/s)

The key is to not sit in front of it and peek and shoot and don't pop out when it is looking at you. Do a few fakes and get them to shoot and you got 2 shots minimum before they reload. I imagine if you are a good player in this thing you will do well.

droodles hire is a tip if u are using that tank when u are using it like an actual TD(long range) always aim at the bottom of the enemy tank cuz when you shot the shells always go above the enemy tank
I've seen some slow shells that I thought if I just had a little better reaction time I may have been able avoid getting hit lol It's an interesting sight seeing a glowing ball flying right at you from across the map haha

i used this to my advantage once, and hit someone across the map (not using sniper mode), because using sniper mode there was a ridge in the way - the shell arc allowed me to make a shot the almost no other tank can make!
I had a bit of luck last night and got on one of your teams on the Yukon map. Had a bit of a moment when i typed out "Holy Shit Droodles". Was playing the tier 5 Swedish tank. Did 2nd highest amount of damage on the team with you doing the most. Last time i had something like that happen. Was years ago i got on the same team as MeatHead Militia in a WOT PC battle.
The nightmare is a beautiful tank, if you play it very aggressive. It has a good armor, a great mobility and a good alpha, the penetration is 110 mm, so it isn t very bad, with HE shells i can penetrate the side of lots of tank.
Fun tank. But can understand why so many rage sold it after a few frustrating games. Don't play as sniper, run as support behind mediums. Close enough that shell velocity less of an issue, but not so get flanked. Surprising how bouncy the side "Schürzen" spaced armour can be.
another thing: auto-aim on pc helps compensate for the velocity. Wotblitz gives you a big boost and compensates for it. It automatically leads your shell.
Huh,I didn't know this tank has the slowest shell velocity. Because I usually treat it almost like a medium tank because it's armour and we'll it's gun.
This tank is my sealclubber of choice. Being able to slap tier 4 and some tier 5 tanks for ~420 damage is satisfying. Before the low tier HP buffs you could one shot tier 4 TD's...so fun.
I see german tds (assualt td line) as turretless mediums rather normal tds. They excel much more this also includes the nightmare as its a stug 3 with the 105 mm.
A TD with a terrible shell velocity. I love this tank though and I like pushing with it rather than sitting at the back and trying to shoot accurately. A great tank to have fun.

Nightmare is a StuH 42 G (I think H is meaning Howitzer in German) because the Nazis wanted big guns on existing tanks so they put 10,5 cm howitzer on StuG

Droodles do a video on the T82 cus that tank actually has the slowest shell in the game, the Nightmare's HEAT shell is 376m/s, the T82's HEAT is 308m/s
My favorite tank was the pz IV G before it got nerfed. I remember when that had the big gun on it. It would do like 4-500 on HE and I’d just derp people like crazy. And then a bunch of softies complained so they made the tank sht

I read the official blitz description, and it said that the nightmare had "strong" side screens, then I looked in armor inspector and found that they're 5mm thick.
Great demonstration, but we all know that sitting in a traditional sniper spot is not how this tank plays. It's a great little tank and it pisses people off when you delete them and drive away.
When the nightmares gun fires in sniper mode the round arcs so much that it makes it look like artillery

Played the su152 isu152 t30 after a long time .they seem to be more inaccurate now.

Actually, the slowest shell is tier 3 T82's HEAT. It's 305mps. Without collectable vehicles, the slowest shell is tier 7 SP I C's HE. It's 338 mps.

The kv-2 actually has pretty good shel velocity. Its one of the things that makes its shells come out like bananas half the time.

Last night I saw AMX 54 in testing in matches, very strong tank, Awsom mobility, goos reload, average damage was around 430-450, good looking tank

This tank is hilarious to play. The gun is ridiculous with the super high damage. I love slapping tier 4s with the HE

Chimera's HE shell velocity is also a good candidate to having one of the slowest shells in the game.
The shell also shoots in an arc. When sniping at a very long range, you need to aim a bit lower
