How to Get Into Harvard as an International Student | Eric Gong (Harvard '27)

In this video, I had the privilege of interviewing a student I formerly worked with, Eric Gong. As an Asian guy applying from Canada, Eric’s odds of getting into an Ivy League school could not have been more slim. We discuss how Eric overcame those odds through consistency, a genuine passion for research, and by bridging the STEM vs. Humanities divide. We’ll also touch upon what Harvard is like, whether the stereotypes are true, and what Eric would change about the school. Enjoy!

Greetings!
I’m from the Maldives and I’m planning to apply to Harvard university for a biology based subject. Although as I’m from the other side of the world, there are some things that I really can’t figure out. For instance, AP classes are not done here as far as ik and I really dk 😅
I’m currently in my 12th and I’ve started my essay not knowing if I’ll apply or not. And highschool here is considered only for 11th and 12th. We don’t have SAT or those kinda exams as well. We have edexcel IAL.
Somehow kinda lost in this full process as idk if anyone from my country study at Harvard as an undergraduate student.
Can someone help me with some knowledge.?
