Over 40 thousand views!! Sheesh, this is so humbling. It's regrettable that the band never had the opportunity to perform outside Australia; although it's great to see this old footage and recognise how tight the band was, it still falls short of the real live experience. We were always about the live show and weren't afraid to assault with BIG volume and attitude. It's possible of course that the very fact of our obscurity has assisted in the growth of the legend, but I'm sure seeing the band live at their peak would exceed that. Much has been made of our support slot with Black Sabbath and I've heard from many who think we "Blew them off stage"; much as I like the thought I find it hard to accept, however I'm also aware that it's all to do with individual perceptions and admit it's nice that anyone should think so. Although I avoided it for many years it's known now that I've succumbed to insistent requests to perform as "Buffalo Revisited" and assembled a fantastic line-up to do the songs justice; it's not my intention to go "on the road" again with this, but I would like to explore options to visit some of those places where the band's music is still appreciated and perform for the many fans who haven't had the chance to experience the songs live. Of course this isn't an easy thing to achieve, costs are exorbitant and it's not easy for an Aussie act to get backing for overseas tours, but I reckon that if enough people made enough noise about it it's possible some agent/promoter would see the potential and take it on. People power! Let me extend an invitation to all those commenting below, send a "friend request" to my Facebook page so you'll be aware of any happenings as they occur and just maybe we can inspire someone to make it happen. Meanwhile be well, Dave.

Buffalo's 1st 3 LPs are as good as any in the history of heavy rock and roll... PERIOD! They were criminally overlooked. Real "classic metal". Once the great John Baxter left, they were not the same. He surely is one of the greatest guitarist in heavy rock history.
I sure like to know who are the 2 "dislikers"... they're probably too busy listening to Brittany Spears!

probably THE best of the forgotten bands from the 70's. and there are many. I heard Buffalo described as "having the misfortune of being before and after their time" This voice would have dominated rock anywhere from late 80's/early 90s to now. if their albums came out just 3 years earlier they'd be up they're with bands like Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath as those super influental rock bands. Hell, if they're albums came out in the late 70's or early 80's, they'd fit right in with Motorhead, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. the music world missed out big time with this band not going global. amazing singing.

Yeah I remember that Petersham town Hall gig, those were the days my friend; we had our fair share of run ins with the Sharpies. As I recall we had to run off stage while the bastards were throwing everything they could get hold of at us, this because our roadie evicted one of them from the stage when he tried to play Jimmy's drums. Mind you there were other times that were actually more hairy than that, but we survived and can still laugh about it.

Não fale bobagem, O Buffalo é o Buffalo. O som é original deles. QUem é Sabbath na fila do pão perto dos reais inventores do heavy metal? Blue Cheer, Sir Lord Baltimore, Mountain, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Buffaloos verdadeiros pais do heavy metal.
