- On the fourth day of our Missouri Road Trip, we made our way to Kansas City to visit Worlds of Fun! Although it’s one of the smaller parks in the Cedar Fair chain, there’s more to this park than what meets the eye. It has a decent coaster collection, with rides like Mamba, Patriot, and Prowler being big standouts. However, where this park truly shines in its theming! The park was originally based on the Jules Verne novel “Around the World in 80 Days,” and each area of the park represents a different region of the globe. Unique architecture, ambient music, and characters lends to the immersion of each land.
We were also fortunate enough to visit Worlds of Fun during its 50th Anniversary season! As part of the celebrations, we got to experience the all-new GCI wooden hybrid coaster Zambezi Zinger, try some exclusive 50th anniversary food and drink offerings, and see some special entertainment like Moulin Rouge 50, a train robbery show on the Worlds of Fun Railroad, and the 50 Nights of Fire fireworks and drone spectacular!

Worlds of Fun is such a great park! Next time I want to check out their Halloween Haunt event! I do agree that a looping launch coaster would be a great fit at this park!
That being said I wish more people visited Worlds of Fun, I understand Kansas City isn't a very big city however this is a park everyone needs to try at least once! For some reason this park gave me "mini Kings Island" vibes in a great way!

Oh nice! It’s definitely a solid park.
It's a good park, but it still needs one or two large coasters to make it a top tier park. What do you think of the new Mattel Adventure Park going in on the KS side of KC? It will have two coasters.
Yeah, I agree! The park definitely has the potential, but it does need a few more coasters to achieve that elite status.
I’m shocked they’re going to start building the Mattel Park before the one in Arizona opens, but I think it’ll be a hit! The style will be quite different from Worlds of Fun, so I think the two will complement each other quite nicely.
I will also say in 2023 they had a MASSIVE Understaffed problem which is upsetting!
Ohhh that’s fair. I feel all the parks were understaffed last year.
