Painkiller: Battle out of Hell is a survival horror first person shooter game, being an expansion pack for the original Painkiller, developed by People Can Fly and published by DreamCatcher Interactive, originally released in November 2004. The game continues the story of the original game where Lucifer has been defeated and his position as ruler of Hell is now vacant. The player takes the role of Daniel Garner, who must battle his way out of Hell to escape enslavement by the forces of Hell. The game features a 10-level single-player campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer modes, and improved visual effects.
