@@rei_1658 Seems like around september SE launched a survey for people who completed NEO, and it said that it asked for more content, which could mean anything, like even a new game or something, so it's not exactly hinting DLC or anything really, but maybe that survey makes something like that more possible to happen, if it is DLC I really hope they add more tracks to the game.

These are surprisingly clever lyrics! They're kind of about how Neku hated to interact with others, and to share or get to know their secrets (darknesses/emptiness) that drags them down. In turn he thinks they'll drag him down and he's afraid that he'll no longer be free. "Cause I know what you'll find."
One of the best lines to show his conflict is "Feel the fire that's burning off me." To Neku that means he's gonna get burned by the emotions bonds bring. To most others it means a fiery passion only other friends can share with you.
But "Emptiness makes people live life." Having friends can be tough but we're better off sharing that emptiness than "falling down" it alone.
@@enigmatic_coffee_shop as far as i know, they were never released. most of what you'll find is just very careful and diligent attempts at parsing english words from someone with a thick japanese accent. most of the other songs are at least sung by fluent english speakers so they are fairly easy to understand. perhaps with the resurgence of twewy, we may someday get official lyrics!

I don't think so, this only plays in one fight, Neky & Beat vs brainwashed Pinky and popsicle, I think it's about everyone's motivation to live a fulfilling life, to stop feeling "empty"

The boss that I was referring to in the last comment I can't remember his name but he turns out to be the true leader of the ruin bringer team in the sequel to the world ends with you and honestly I thought this would have been a great track to play during his boss battle it would have been so cool I was really hoping it would come back in some way but sadly it didn't which really sucks because it's a great track like I said before. Either there or if we ended up fighting Kubo aka the guy who really was behind the games chaos. Oh now I remember the other guy's name I couldn't remember before it was Sheba this would have been a perfect boss fight against him or the angel of hell that I mentioned before. I hate it when I can't remember names but I bet we can all relate to that am I right?!

@@justj485 Tbh, you are correct. Not all of the stuff is exactly the same when compared to the game. But, this is something that's a given when anime adaptation happens. I do enjoy the anime because of pure nostalgia since it's been... close to a decade since I played the game.

Ah, no wonder this song speaks to me. I recently developed an anti-nihilist point of view. Sort of a 'no fate, no God, no problem' mindset, so that lyric really sells the song for me.
I was under the impression that was what Nihilism was.

It varies from person to person. Some see nihilism as the idea that nothing we do has any purpose whatsoever, even on a moment to moment basis, and our feelings on it are irrelevant.
I'm kind of a nihilist too. Not in an edgy kind of way like people who say they wanna die and shit, I just don't really care about anything. Life has no "purpose" it just suddenly was there..? Not even science knows.. I also believe there are way too many humans on Earth. Global warming is a pretty huge problem and it's all because of us. We need to go fucking extinct already. Yeah okay on second thought, I am pretty edgy. I've always thought of myself as a realist but I'm really more of an overly cynical pessimist.

If you ask me I feel like this should have played a role in the sequel to be honest this was such a great track I was really hoping to see it in the sequel but sadly it wasn't there and it should have been I feel like. Seriously it would have been a perfect boss fight not even joking I mean I like the one that played against the final boss but I feel like this one should have been the one that played would have been so cool :-)

It's a secret because you don't automaticaly get it through the story, you have to find the song to be able to play it. You may have stumbled upon it by accident, it's not really well hidden, but if don't get it and have it in your inventory, you may very well play the whole game without ever hearing it.
