Great advice at 1:53... I'm someone who thought they missed the "golden era" as you described it. I want to start a channel, so thank you for the encouragement that we all have something unique to share. I know I do, but I'm struggling to get started. Thanks for this video and all your other content!
I felt the same way when starting my channel! It’s so easy to feel discouraged when you think “what could I possibly add to this platform that hasn’t been done before?” But there is truly no one out there exactly like you and your voice is valuable! So inspiring, so informative, and so sweet of you to open up and help the timid youtuber wannabes here! In regards to watch time, I felt like somewhere in the middle, the pace kinda dropped and could've been kept flowing better, maybe thru some editing, I don't know... just a small feedback if it's worth anything. Those may be the times people get impatient and move away - as we often do on social media, spread over so many alternatives all pulling and spoiling us.

Great videos Irina. Can you also explain the criterias for monetisation in one of your next videos?
Thank you! I’ve explained the criteria in a couple of my previous videos, like my “how much CZcams paid me in one month” video and my “new CZcams monetization update” video from about 4 months ago.
CZcams wants every video to be 8+ minutes. Those are the videos that CZcams promotes and pushes into peoples' feeds.
But most folk don't like to sit there watching long videos. That's why view duration is normally 3 minutes average. People just skip through or forward through the video, wanting to get the info they're looking for as quickly as possible. Trying to get viewers to stay engaged for an entire video is very tough unless it's a step by step instructional video.
Good point! I personally usually watch videos from beginning to end, but I know that is not the case for most viewers.
