After he KOd assunsao in 2020 I hoped he would come back. Doesn’t look like we’ll ever see that Cody again but damn I hope he is happy in his life and god bless him and his young son 🙏
Cody's downfall is close to Tony's, to me. Such a shame, especially how he was wobbling and dropping Dillasnake in fight 1 only to lose just one round later. Had he have even just beat him I think that spiral would have been at least a bit more bearable. Read Cody's book a month or two back, fantastic journey, for him and for Maddux.

People liked to hate on him because he was never a great speaker but watching him fight was always fun because of how quick and explosive he was and he seemed like a good guy that was just misunderstood. I hope he is able to get through his injuries and returns to fighting.
Not sure if he got new teeth and thats why his speech seems weird and I hope thats the case. He had concussion problems before his UFC career which is not ideal but this interview is the first time ive seen him talk in a long time and its a bit concerning.

Big fan of Cody in the cage he's a savage but out the cage he used to rub me the wrong way sometimes but he seems to have done a lot of work on himself so good for him. Hope a speedy recovery is in his future 🙏
I know Cody will not see this, but I will still say it: Bro, you are a good dude. Other than that you are former UFC champion, so you made it there too. And again, good human IMO-which is most important.

I was like YES YES YES!!! then I was like NOOOO NOO NOOO! Those were my favorite times as a fan. It's a shame he's only 32 and has SOOOO many injuries like even a lot for a professional mma fighter. its ridiculous.
Wow.. what an interview. It got real af in the last 10-15 mins. You are both known as aggressive fighters and even aggressive as you promoted your fights (Cody not as much lately) - but between Maddox (I think that's his name?) And the advice you gave Cody at 217 just hits right in the feels. I threw a huge party for 217 and I actually had money on you beating GSP, Mike 😆 (and I'm from the Toronto area) Great card, great performances and this is a great interview 💯
@pcostyle11 haha I've always been a fan of Bisping and his style. Him, Gus and Masvidal were my favorites. GSP is great but just not the biggest fan of his style. Amazing card tho 💯
To do what he did to Dom on that night was one of, if not the best performances against a dominant champion. He'll always get respect for that, no luck involved that night. He became a champ and got the belt.
Cody knows how to fight, seems like his biggest barrier is staying healthy im glad hes talking to DJ, probably should talk to Joe too. sounds like he needs to focus on getting his body strong if he wants to have a chance in there. he needs a steady personal trainer/coach to just focus on returning him to elite athlete shape. AT least that's the way it looks from the outside looking in. you see it alot though. bodies just break from training hard every day.
Anyone else hearing a slight slur in Cody's speech? Maybe it's just me or it's a bad mic. Regardless, I hope he's doing alright, he's had some tough knockouts.
Man I miss Cody in the UFC. He got me excited to pay for a fight. He always showed up ready and made weight. Fought his ass off. Hands down best card was his win over DC. What a fight. That’s what we pay to see.

When Cody was on his Rise to the Top was 1 of the greatest UFC storylines ever !! It's hard to stay on top forever and his UFC career definitely improved and changed his life 💯🔥 👊 💪
One of the greatest storylines ? He's one of the biggest jokes and worst title holders ever.
He definitely was 2016 was the year
@@floatinggoose9197you must be a Pillashaw fan, his legacy is erased and nobody respects him anymore sorry 😂
@@floatinggoose9197 He got beat by a dude on steroids
I’ve always been a fan of Cody. People liked to hate on him because he was never a great speaker but watching him fight was always fun because of how quick and explosive he was and he seemed like a good guy that was just misunderstood. I hope he is able to get through his injuries and returns to fighting.
Big fan of Cody. Hoping for a swift recovery
Class Act! Awesome to see his growth and maturity.
Saw him in Vegas the other day walking Ghost!
Dang bruh. Hope Cody is able to recover fully and be healthy
Not sure if he got new teeth and thats why his speech seems weird and I hope thats the case. He had concussion problems before his UFC career which is not ideal but this interview is the first time ive seen him talk in a long time and its a bit concerning.
My baby cousin fights for the one fc. And even with the lack of USADA the dudes body is all messed up even at age 26. Hes gotten so many surgeries here and there. It’s unfortunate
He really changed a lot, wasn t expecting his reaction in regards to Dillashaw, hope he gets well soon
One of my all time favorite of the little guys. Reminded me a lot of Pulver as far as inspiring me to watch the smaller dudes. Cody reminds me of so many dudes I grew up with so I always cheered for him.
What a thoroughly bloody nice jolly good bloke
Always liked Cody. Sure hope he set himself up financially when he was the champion making top dollar . I remember watching him taking private jets and living the good life when he had the belt. Wishing Cody only the best.
Hope Cody recovers from this and takes his time. Cant wait to see him back again. 👊🏽
Sometime you just don’t understand what a fighter is going through, Insane what Cody has been through and still going strong! Great interview Mike, Cody ✌️
What a story it would be if he can overcome these injuries and come back and do some damage within the division.
Thanks for the video, MICHAEL BISPING
The Cody that fought Cruz, vs Suga Sean for the title would be the sickest fight in the division. Not sure we'll ever see that Cody again, but damn....
Hope you take care of yourself, Cody. Thanks for the awesome interview.
I really liked the cody era when he was champ. I remember how exciting it was when he basically ko'd the cheat in the first round but got saved by the bell.
I threw a huge party for 217 and I actually had money on you beating GSP, Mike 😆 (and I'm from the Toronto area)
Great card, great performances and this is a great interview 💯
How dare you bet against our gsp !! Lol also had a few people here we went insane it was crazy
@pcostyle11 haha I've always been a fan of Bisping and his style. Him, Gus and Masvidal were my favorites. GSP is great but just not the biggest fan of his style. Amazing card tho 💯
I still believe Cody, during Cruz's fight, was the best bantamweight of all time. Hope for a speedy recovery for him. Can't wait to see him again.
Never was the biggest fan but thoughts and prayers to him and his family
Being at the top of 135 is almost a curse. Garbrant, marlon Moraes, Cruz, dillashaw, Yan.
To do what he did to Dom on that night was one of, if not the best performances against a dominant champion. He'll always get respect for that, no luck involved that night. He became a champ and got the belt.
It sounds like his words are already slurring. Hope Cody's ok.
Hey bisping I got my purple belt tonight after 5 years of hard work lost over 100 pounds thank you for being an inspiration to me !
Great interview Mike. Heal up Cody, sending you positive vibes.
Cody is a very relatable kind of guy👆🏼👌🏼
Cody knows how to fight, seems like his biggest barrier is staying healthy im glad hes talking to DJ, probably should talk to Joe too. sounds like he needs to focus on getting his body strong if he wants to have a chance in there. he needs a steady personal trainer/coach to just focus on returning him to elite athlete shape. AT least that's the way it looks from the outside looking in. you see it alot though. bodies just break from training hard every day.
Cody is the man!! Wish nothing but health and happiness!!
I'll always have 💯 respect for Cody
Anyone else hearing a slight slur in Cody's speech? Maybe it's just me or it's a bad mic. Regardless, I hope he's doing alright, he's had some tough knockouts.
Wishing all the best for Cody. All these fighters have a hard career.
Good interview Michael! Really let him talk, something alot of interviewers seem to miss!
Man I miss Cody in the UFC. He got me excited to pay for a fight. He always showed up ready and made weight. Fought his ass off. Hands down best card was his win over DC. What a fight. That’s what we pay to see.
No Cody.... it's time to heal and start podcasting.
Always been a fan and will continue to be a fan. Regardless of whether or not Cody fights again, best of luck to him!
When Cody fought he swung for the fences and although it wasn’t technical at times I admired his exciting fights!
Glad he's coming to Medellin for his treatment. A lot of people are coming down here for that
Every artist if they're lucky will create at least one masterpiece. Cody gave us his fight with Dom, a fight for the ages!
Cody is a good dude, wishing him and his family all the best!
