Tito’s trunks, hair, nickname, fighting stance they are all so iconic. I know ppl laugh and poke fun at him now, but back in the dark ages, he was one of the faces of mma and definitely helped getting ufc to where it is today.
Plus he started things that are now commonplace. Before him, you'd train with the fighters you worked out with. FULL STOP. At UFC40, Tito was training with specialist striking and jiu-jitsu coaches. He worked with the top guys and paid them to train him. He was great in his day, Chuck was just better.
He actually was pretty good at talking back then too. Unlike today. Tito was definitely a lot of people's fav fighter back then, and the closest thing to a household name before Liddell took over.
i know casual keyboard warriors will come at me for saying this, but those all missed or hit guard, those were so extremely unprecised, its actually funny if not sad that thats just like what 15 years ago titio wasnt koed, he quit from the pressure. its like when paulo costa kos people, they are not really koed mostly its mostly something like this when the guy just lays down cuz he is gives up
This was a really exciting rivalry. The documentary 'Bad Blood' tells the Chuck vs Tito story in great depth. If you haven't seen it yet, I would recommend 👍
It's not really a rivalry when it was completely one sided. Sure, Tito got a win when they were both like 70 and completely irrelevant but I don't think that one matters.
This was around the time I started paying more attention to the UFC. This was the first MMA fight I remember a lot of people talking about and being really excited for. Very nostalgic. Great work.
I wish I was into it and watching as much as my brother in law was at this time! For so many reasons but I’m glad I remember and knew most of the greats!🤙🏼
Two highly spirited young gentlemen engaging in fisticuffs and Greco Roman style wrestling. I see nothing nefarious, illicit or ill will portrayed in this sporting engagement whatsoever. In fact, it takes me back to my old boxing days whilst at Oxford. Bravo chaps! 🇬🇧 🥊 Carbon dating is not required given Joe Rogan’s hair density. Time period immediately identified.
Normally sarcasm doesn't translate well in the written word but this time I think you nailed it. However, I have to give them credit they were throwing real punches.
I miss the OG UFC metal song for the intro and the pre-fight Roman warrior operatic music lol I get why they got rid of it to make the sport more mainstream but that music got me so pumped for the upcoming match
The last fight these two had should never have happened.. Damn cash grab.. When they were both in thier prime. Liddell would have won a million times over.
I never understood the strategy of Tito doing that at the end of round 1 and in round 2.Unless you think Chuck will gas from it that can only lead to bad things.
Joe Rogans hair tells me the time period
@PrinceFcknCharming HGH
I’m saying
You can tell the year by his hair and the hour by his docuhebaggery, which doubles every 60 minutes.
I go by Dana whites hair
Its like a youtube sundial
That 1 dislike is definitely tito
😂😂😂
the other 5 are Tito's burner accounts
tito the master wordsmith
This comment did not age well.
Loved how both guys trunks were fire and ice. Couldn’t be any more perfect of a match up
Right they were the yin and yang, a perfect rivalry.
And they still touched gloves
scorpion vs sub zero
@Ryan
Because they worked together on getting paid as much as they could and it worked
Apparently another point of friction. Each says the other copied their trunks... lots of bad blood by the time they got in there
RIP michael clark duncan 🙏🏻
🥺
Who is he?
@@jamieboyd5208 he was an actor, have you seen the movie "Green Mile"? if you havent, I recommend you to.

Hell yea he did
UFC40 really put the UFC on the map.

The golden age of ufc.....its crazy how far the sport has gone since
Those combo of punches from Liddell were fucking savage. Gotta be one of the nastiest punchers in UFC history.
He defined the words " Heavy Hands".
They certainly reduced Tito's IQ significantly.
i know casual keyboard warriors will come at me for saying this,

These old events were awesome rip Michael clarke Duncan
That Frank Mir tongue ring 🤣
Do more old school fight montages bro, you're a King
Crazy to hear that in a fight, Tito was literally trying to hurt his opponent. Utter madman.
No shit......I bet Tito was the first fighter ever to try and hurt the other guy......Savage....LOL
This was when it was a real fight, but their latest fight was just a sad CTE fueled massacre
More old fights please this video was actually perfect

Apples and oranges bro.....ever heard of them ?
Back when Liddell could still talk clearly. He kinda sounds like Dana lmao.
And Tito could put together more than one sentence.

Tito was legit always scared of Chuck and for good reason lol
It sad how Chuck went out on his ass. He should have retired on his feet man.
Who else had the same headphones as chuck back in the day?🤣

The Eddie bravo round results was so funny
Yeah, I loved that fight. I never liked Ortiz ever since he flipped off Ken Shamrock. The ice man took him down a peg or two that day.
YES!!! FINALLY!!!
Felt soo good to see that happen!
I like the fighter/celebrity interviews before the fight
We could not wait any longer

old intros is like watching hbo PPV
it was a feeling of something special
Geez, the way Tito was talking with Joe after the fight you would've thought he won.
Yes!!!! More!!!!’n
These guys are warriors, just like Andy Wang
Chuck threw those hands not only powerfully but precisely.
Considering only about 2 got through, I don't think precise is the correct word
That straight right hand that split Tito's guard and dropped him probably felt like he got hit by a train.
I love old UFC.
That combo by chuck tho
Great days!
Tito is a beast in his takedowns so cool counters help alot. Should of used his ground game when he strikes.
The first 5 seconds I’m laughing my ass off
The end of round 1 was halarious!
Push big John ....damn tito
