I was looking for this song for more than 20 years, never knew the name of song or band but remembered the melody. I just humed this to Google today and here I am.... Dancing across the house!!!! So happy! Wohooo!

the christiians music never fails to lift my spirits and it gives me hope for a better world.
I admire the progression between Forgotten Town (no hope), Ideal World (hopeful) and What's In a World, a realistic, inspiring and uplifting ballad to a realistic hope of dealing to prejudice.
Wonderful and inspiring contrbution to music and human thought.

Cool.It´s the first time i see the video clip,i din´t know it was record in Portugal. The Church where they are dancing is close to my house, its Pantão Nacional where one of the Fado Divas Amalia Rodrigues rests. The rest of the places are totally change by now, except the street with the lines from the tram. Nice

I remember listening to the album 20 times a day! Used to be a big big fan and saw them live at a big free concert in my city of Bordeaux in 93... I was only 13 by then!!!!!aaaah good memories!
They were popular in France. My wife is French and told me. She said Words was very popular. She is from near Marennes in Charente Maritime, two hours from Bordeaux. We live near Liverpool; The Christians were one of a number of bands from the city who were successful in the 1980s. I think the Celtic tinge to some of their music might partly explain their popularity in France.

what's in a word by The Christians was one of my favourite songs growing up, just an awesome feel good tune. Poetic and meaningful lyrics with a momentum that can't help but move your heart, soul and body :-) Not sure I can see the link between this video and non-believers burning in hell. To wish that on others when their only crime is not to agree with your own beleifs is........ Questionable and arrogant. Jesus would've had something to say about religious intolerance had he been here, now to say it.
