Here's nothing to be ashamed of when you have a bigger physical body, what you should be a shamed of is a bad attitude towards others, especially if they're paying costumers or worse people you know. Businesses suffer if they receive a reputation of poor costumer treatment. Even if their clientele does somehow fit their definition of "who they serve" what happens when someone they love is treated like garbage?
Thatâs right! Why wouldnât they shrink about the beauty salon reputation when they did that to the poor girl?

It's disgusting how people like those staffs at the beauty Salon just judge and mistreated that poor woman just because of her weight, but I bet those who abuse that woman will regret it later at the end of the story. Which I was right because their boss Mr. Brown fired them for their arrogant behaviour for how they had treated Tina and making excuse for Mr.Brown's adopted mother, despite that they're fired those two still refuse to acknowledge for their bahaviour and not sorry at all. But at least fate see to it that these women are punished while working in their new job as dog groomers which they admit hating it.

I think I take after my late mother in body shape. But never judge anyone by appearance. It's what inside that counts. Thank goodness Tina got a pair of friends, and the nasty workers ended up working with dogs.

I have a daughter that is overweight and every day I tell her she's beautiful. I don't try to change her or make her lose weight as long as she's healthy. I'm happy with her. She's beautiful on the inside and out. And hopefully 1 day she'll see what I see.

This honestly reminds me of when I went into a dress shop just to see what they had and a very old woman came up to me and told me they have nothing in my size before I even had the chance to look around. That was way before I lost all the weight but still it was completely hurtful. After I had dropped all the weight I wanted to go back in there and just smile at that old lady but by the time I lost all the weight the dress shop got closed down for some reason. In a way I felt like it was Karma helping me out.

My mom was slightly overweight due to a thyroid condition as well. Problem wasn't the medication it was the dosage. When she lived in Arkansas the doctor there cared and she kept the weight off. She moved here to Texas and despite the doctor being asked and begged refused to keep the dosage the same as she had in Arkansas. Why she didn't choose another doctor is a mystery that will remain unsolved.

Do people this UNPROFESSIONAL really exist? A business is set up to MAKE MONEY and this young woman was able and willing to pay for the services (and had they been nice to her might have left a tip). The OWNER of the salon loses money when the salon gets a bad reputation from having cruel racist unprofessional workers. I would have fired those 2 "karens" on the spot and apologized to the young lady and given her a FREE pedicure on the spot had I been the owner and witnessed that.

Later in the story the lady managed to get her life together, and made really good money by starting a successful business and she went back to the store and that same lady was still working there and she had bought the store and FIRED the lady. You can THINK bad things about people but when you work in a job where you serve people you have a responsibility to ACT PROFESSIONALLY.
At least I was able to go to prom that night. My mom's friend had a (step)daughter who does professional makeup and pedicure to prepare me for such events like prom.
