@@woodcarver With the many different faces on these candles, I would love to see you do a study stick with each of those faces on one stick. I think it would help a number of followers to make the other candles and help them to do other caricatures.

@@woodcarver I enjoy projects; for example, a chess set, a Noah’s ark, a Nativity scene, a choir of cartoon characters singing, a barnyard of cartoon animals, a sports team. Any group of related caricatures can keep me entertained for a long time. With your talent and creativity, I think you would be great at such a project.

I have always struggled with carving Noses well. I have ruined many carvings in my day, due to this issue. I have to say that watching, and then emulating your method, made me so happy. I haven’t even finished yet, but my nose is so good, I’m elated…thank you so very much. I think you POV style is very helpful.so again, thank you my friend! I am now a Sub!!!

Great work as always!!! I just went to a carving roundup and bought myself an OCCT knife. It's sooo nice to carve with, I actually messed up the first time I used it because I'm not used to the way a flat grind knife carves. I went a lot deeper than I meant to😂. Really great work!

I was just thinking the same thing! So brave to have a bare face with no big mustache and beard to avoid having to carve nostrils and mouth! But it’s perfect! No one holds a *candle* to him! 🤣😂🤪 good one!

Damn you make that look easy. Mine will probably look like a ten day old broken off sun-dried dog turd. But it will be a work of art for me in my eyes, I just won’t show it to anyone or tell them I found it. If they think it looks really cool I’ll then tell them I did it just screwing around. I just found your site and i have to say from one carver to another your work is fantastic and the detail is beautiful. I really like the painting color stick in the background, that's something i've never thought of and will be using in the future. My wife is now wanting me to carver her some candle and broom characters soon. Thank you for the great videos and look forward to more.
