Abandoned House - Wife Dies or Divorce Husband Moves Next Door?

  • This is an abandoned House I explored. I spoke with the guy next door. Who also owns the property, I gave him my usual introduction. He told me he had no problem with me, exploring the house. However he did say why he left it of anything to let me know its past like de did with the house crossed the street. So the only clues to its past are left behind and I for one dont think a man lived here by himself. AGAIN he did even mention a woman while saying he used to live there?

Hunter, I really like your videos, and you sure do work hard to get them! I often wonder how many times you've injured yourself. You know, you really should wear a respirator mask, these places are full of mold, asbestos, and who knows what! I like your old farm house/ country homes videos the best. The older the house the better, and it would be great if you could somehow find out when these houses were built. Keep up the good work, and take care of yourself!

My husband repurposes/crafts with old glass bottles,so we were drooling at this one. Also, the magazine in the deep freezer was like a true story/retro romance mag back from the 70s.Those are so kitschy...There were so many dust particles upstairs I hate to think you sucked in one molecule of that!!Another house that time slipped by...

That stuff inside the house is not left by former resident. It looks it's just filled with junk from some other peoples house. Old furnitures, christmas decorations, newspapers, cardboard boxes, car tires, old clothes that's stuff what peoples "storing" in empty houses.

The thing you thought was a chair is actually the base of a acrylic domed terrarium from the 60s/70s. It's just missing the top clear plastic dome. There were a lot of vintage treasures in that home. Sad they are sitting there deteriorating. Great vid as always!

    Wow!
You walked into a genuine Time Capsule, with some modern junk mingled in (the Christmas porch Santa & Snowman, & the Caroller Coat on the wall you said was I think creepy).
This was his Mothers house, from the age of most of the items, though it's possible you are correct it being his wife.
The small bottles in the metal cabinet are Spice Bottles. My grandmother had the same kinds.
The white thing you asked about, to me is an artificial Fruit display bowl, from 1969.
Definitely the thing you called "Wedding thing" was a Plant Stand. For Flower pots, & hold Cactus & wee Flowers etc on display.

5:48 I think the calendar was correct. The place was last lived in 1970. Then they continued to dump stuff in there, into the mid 1980s. Because even the cardboard boxes date to the 1970s. I see an early 1970s Pepsi box. I couldn't spot even one thing with a UPC bar code on it.

What's strange is the guy told him that he had the place rewired after copper thieves stole the wiring. Were there copper thieves back in the late 60's and early 70's? Maybe the guy was referring to another house?

At 8:22 (i think) that white round thing, it looks like a part of a terrarium, the top part, it's clear, is missing. I bought my mom one & took it to a florist & had live plants put in it. It don't require much water cause the top makes moisture & keeps it damp enough. That was in the 1970's when I got one.

Hi there, Hunter. I am writing because I would like to ask to use some short snippets (5-10 seconds long) of your creepy exploration videos for a little demo reel that I am making, kind of a proof-of-concept for a potential video game idea.
This 'video game' is actually a non-violent 3d chat room utilizing the Unreal 4 game engine. I'm creating a 2 minute video to demonstrate what the end result might look like.
The movie won't be seen by many people, only those in the game developing community. None of your dialogue will be used, & your name will be credited at the end.
    Thank you for your consideration.

great video as ever BUT if I may offer some constructive criticism, I thought you a little disrespectful and insensitive when u say your walking on crap, it may well be crap but please remember it was once peoples treasured positions,

Jason Hollyhead I don't feel he was disrespectful , if people loved their things, they wouldn't throw stuff all around, and walk on it themselves.
