    This same injection method worked for me also,it’s easier to fill with fluid from the top directly into the shaft an work it in raising it up an down until you start noticing some results,have patience ,after sitting overnight it works even better!!!

    Is this applicable to tonearms with P-mount cartridges (specifically a JVC AL-A155TNX, equipped with a 3kg "statically balanced, straight tubular arm")?

    Thanks for taking the time to post this. I have the very same model with the same issue. What was the viscosity of the oil that you used? Thank you.

      On this particular turntable I used the 300,000 cst

      I just bought 300,000 and was a bit worried so I'm happy to see this. Online one guy says 3,000cst and another says 500,000 & everything in between!

    Hi.. where exactly are you putting the fluid? Inside the piston, or around the piston like you did with the Q tip?

    • @steved1129
      @steved1129  Před rokem +2

      On this model I placed the fluid around the piston, but some turntables require removal of the shaft, which have a reservoir to hold the fluid.

    Your left hand is covering up what you are trying to fix

      The grease inside may have hardened. You can try placing a little light weight oil (like sewing machine oil) on the shaft to loosen it up

      Yup. I think it was an LTD200 or 500.

    Not a good angle! Can’t see where you’re putting the needle. You need to move your hand and show where you’re putting it before you start

      Sorry about that. Next time I need to replace the damping fluid I'll have to retake the video to make it more clear.

    Man sieht ja gar nichts, weil du die Hand davor hälts! Kommt das Silikon in das Rohr oder davor in den Spalt zwischen Rohr und Aufnahmehalterung?

  • @MAB_Audio_Nut
    @MAB_Audio_Nut Před rokem

    The right way to do it is to remove the piston . there are groves usually in the piston and those need to be filled with the fluid and than put back together. your method really doesn't get the fluid where it needs to go.
