Today I FINALLY got the chance to ride the worlds biggest skatepark in Shanghai! The skate park is called SMP and it is 147,000 square feet. The skateparks features are all absolutely incredible. The park includes obstacles such as banks, rails, ledges, half pipes, quarter pipes, near full pipes, giant cradles, vert walls, mega ramp sized drop in's, stair sets, bmx dirt jumps, pyramids, a frames, snake runs, tunnels and much much more. This skatepark is unlike any other I've ever visited and I don't know of any place on earth that is quite like it. The size of the ramps is absolutely incredible. Some of the quarter pipes reach up to 18-20 feet tall in the concrete bowl which is absolutely insane. The park was such a thrill. I admit that I wasn't quite prepared for what the park had to offer. It was MUCH bigger than I had anticipated. I do plan on coming back to the park one of these days and the next time I have the chance, I'll make sure to be a bit more prepared. Looking forward to seeing where else you end up in China. I’ve been touring for the last 5 weeks but I’m leaving in 10 days. Had a blast. I love how derelict the park is. Definitely bringing my scooter next time to sesh around Beijing. The curved architecture around places like Chaoyangmen are awesome.
I remember I gave up on scootering if because I struggled to land my tailwhip with 2 feet. I've just recently got back into it and watching this video inspired me so much.

I have seen a couple videos about china building huge malls and neighborhoods for thousands that are not being used bc of over developement and a poor economy. At least they were smart and made a huge park too. That place looks insane! Like a dream. Maybe the skate/scooter/bmx culture will breath life back into this small part of china bc of the park?
