To anyone thinking Israel is actually called Palastin, here is a quick historical fact that is backed up by archeological evidence: Befor the Romains changed the name to Palastin, the names of this region were Judia, Sumeria and Israel.
The Romains changed the names because they expelled all the Jews and wanted to eradicate any connection between this land and the Jewish people, so they named this land after the long lost Nemesis of the Israelites called the Philistines, which came from somewhere around Cyprus, so they aren't even Arabs.
The name Philistines literally translates in Hebrew to "the ones that have invaded us".

The Jewish people are *indigenous* to Judea - Land of Israel. 🕎🙌
After over 2 millennia of forced exile, persecution, and genocide, the *(re)establishment* of *Jewish sovereignty* in our *ancestral homeland* is a remarkable story of *national liberation.* Jewish claims to the land are far more than biblical accounts. Our *religion, language, culture, holidays, rituals, liturgy, history,* and even the words Jew and Jewish are all inseparable from *historical Judea* and our collective longing to *return to the Land of Israel.*
The land of Israel is where Jews became *a people* and the *oldest monotheistic faith.* It is where Jews *achieved sovereignty* before losing it and regaining it several times until much of the *indigenous Jewish population* was either killed or forced into exile following the *Roman Empire’s* brutal suppression of the heroic *Jewish revolt* in the second century of the Common Era. Though the Romans subsequently *renamed the land* Syria Palaestina, the Jewish people *never left* our homeland physically or spiritually. *Archaeological evidence* of Jewish life can be found in more than *30,000 sites* in Israel with antiquities dating back centuries. Even when we were massacred and persecuted by Christian Crusaders, Arab and Ottoman *invaders,* the British-led Jordanian Arab Legion, or more recently Hamas suicide bombers and rockets, our attachment *never* wavered.
It is in this same land where Jews miraculously *revitalized* the Hebrew language, *rebuilt* the institutions necessary for independence, *re-engaged* in rituals that are uniquely observed in the land of Israel, *redeveloped* the land and the economy so that by several magnitudes the Jewish and non-Jewish populations grew, and offered refuge not just to the remnant which survived the Holocaust, but also millions of Jews fleeing persecution from the Muslim Middle East, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union. Today, Israel is a *rich tapestry of diverse citizens,* including over half of Jewish Israelis who identify as Jews of color and 20% of whom are Arab citizens.
      *Peace Not Hate!* 🇮🇱💙

Lior is such a brilliant lovely, sweet, kind and compassionate man. He is a leader. He is both Arab and Jewish. He is true peacemaker his creation Fauda is genius. Absolutely the best series I have ever seen. It’s addictive!
The Arab Israeli conflict is so complex but this magnificent drama is opening a door in an unprecedented way to the possibility of peace.
I hope anyone who reads these comments that has not watched Fauda does do so now.
It is exquisite, captivating, suspenseful, beautiful, poignant, so powerful and it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

My No. 1 criticism of Netflix controlling Fauda is the over-dubbing in English!! I saw series 1 and 2 in Israel and all was in Hebrew, Arabic, with sub-titles. I have been years in Israel but in my circles of technologists, everyone speaks between English and Hebrew.... My Hebrew improved so much having to read in English but hear in Hebrew! Then they (yanks) started on the financial gravy train and all of a sudden no more Hebrew..... OK, selfish maybe, and often the subtitles way off the mark, but it was much more realistic. Anyway, love the show though Season 4 an absolute Americanized Fizzer (sublime to ridiculous and totally unbelievable)..... If a Series 5 or beyond, please get the American shite out of it and return to Israeli chutzpah and "in your face" bluntness. Political correctness does not exist in Israel!! 2 hours to Friday and Shabbat.... Shalom one and all! No place on Earth like Israel, no people on Earth like the Israeli People!! ❤❤❤❤
