One of the greatest new artists I've seen in a long, long while--and I'm 64 lol. Incredible singer, rapper, guitarist, lyricist, actor...this guy is beyond impressive. I've been on a "Ren-a-thon" between watching his CZcams channel videos and reactors' videos I'd recommend "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" next, which is a trilogy of tales, the tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet (in that order). While the overall story is quite serious, there are moments of dark humor or at least irony. The cleverly-written lyrics and gripping storytelling in that song, coupled with Ren's beautiful classical guitar playing, singing and acting out all the parts, it's nothing short of genius. Ren is a true artist, in every respect. And a truly special human being.
Ren is a Poet, a Singer, a Rapper, a Musician, a Composer, a Songwriter, a Producer, an Actor......an Artist. Keep going down the Ren rabbit hole, there's literally nothing he can't do. This video is completely LIVE....No pre-recorded music and lip-syncing here. Don't miss out on the fact that Ren was also in a band...."The Big Push". They too have lots of videos, mostly of Busking (street performing). Ren needs all of our Thoughts, Prayers and Love right now. At 17, Ren had been discovered by Sony Records, Busking in England. They signed him to a contract and he was on his way. As he was recording his first album, he got incredibly sick. He went to the British doctors, complaining of severe pain all over his body and in his joints. The Doctors could find nothing wrong with him and insisted that it was all in his head. Ren spent the next 8 years of his life, looking for answers, going to hundreds of different doctors. The medical community kept saying it was ALL in his head and treating as much, with Psycho-Active/Tropic drugs for his "Mental Disorder". Meanwhile, Ren was stuck in bed 23 hours a day because of the overwhelming pain. All of this nearly drove him crazy as he KNEW he was experiencing the pain that they said was made up. A few years ago, he found a Doctor in Belgium that finally diagnosed Ren with Lyme Disease. He had his answer. However, because the Lyme disease went untreated for 8 years, it Ravaged his body to include his brain. He even received Stem Cell treatment in Canada a while ago, but the damage was already done. He is currently BACK in Canada, for 6+/- months, to try and repair some of that damage. This will include multiple surgeries. He is there by himself, without friends or family to comfort him through this grueling ordeal
Typical NHS! 🤬 Lyme Disease isn't even that uncommon! Hope he get the treatment and result he needs.. Proper "Artist", only just discovered him so got some catching up to do, I was 'late to the game' on this one.. 👍🏴🇬🇧
I'd argue and say that in the domain of creativity he is by far the most talented and original person i have ever seen over my 42 years alive. There is ofc no such thing as original in a pure sense, but originality comes from the ability to combine old things in ways that seem new and that speaks to people.
“Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 5 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years. Ren’s music videos are generally recorded live, often in a single take, although not necessarily the first take, and from various camera angles. His release, "Sick Boi," is almost another chapter to "Hi Ren." Many of his songs resonate with people because he addresses struggles that many others face every day. Ren plays multiple instruments (acoustic, electric, and bass guitar, piano, drums), has impressive vocals, is an excellent storyteller, and is quite the philosopher and poet. He is considered by many a modern bard. His trilogy "The Tale of Jenny/Screech/Violet" is haunting and has an unforeseen conclusion. It needs to be watched in the order given, as this is the flow of the storyline. It is another example of Ren’s genius and a master’s class in storytelling. It has been likened to a Shakespearean tragedy. Ren’s collaborations with Chinchilla (“Chalk Outlines,” “How to Be Me”) are beautiful and showcase his singing voice while addressing mental health. His live music videos are especially impressive. Ren's personal reflections are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation, although it is less of a personal song than it is an indictment of greed and the resulting injustices in this world. Ren’s Hip Hop/Rap style songs are all worth checking out if you enjoy this genre; they are pretty amazing. Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).” As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful. Then there are his performances with Sam Tompkins (“Blind Eyed,” “Earned it /Mans World / Falling,” “Walking on the moon/No Diggity”), Eden Nash (“Humble,” “Ocean”), Bibi (“Crutch,” “Ahiahiaoha”), Molly McKinna (“Penitence”), his former bandmate, Romain Axisa (“French Song”), which are all great. Ren's performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up), their busking (street performances), concerts, and their live recordings, are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren's covers of "I Shot the Sheriff," "Wade in the Water," "An Englishman in New York," “War Pigs,” the songs "Oh My Woman," “Swan Song,” “Sweet Little Lady," "It's Alright," "Watch Out," “Dignity,” and so many others are equally impressive. Ren recently released his single, “Sick Boi.” In anticipation of his stay in Canada for more treatments, Ren prepared some music ahead of time to be released over the next six months that he expects to be gone. As mentioned above, his latest release, “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake),” is another masterful work.
Ren is going to make a change in the world. The Ren Rabbithole Gang is growing, supporting each other and lifting each other up. People are starting to open up about their mental health issues and are seeing that they aren't alone 🖤🖤🖤
Ren x Chinchilla “Chalk Outlines” Live version needs to be next if you want to hear his amazing vocals, which also addresses suffering mental health. And “Sick Boi” which addresses yet more suffering mental health and some of what’s gone on in his life. Then the street performances with his former band The Big Push and all his rap singles too.
Great reaction Chod and Dee. I have been a musician for 50+ years and this, imho, is the most profound piece of art that I have witnessed. He is truly a genius. People across the world are now having discussions about the struggles we all endure. Thanks for the reaction. I am a big fan of Ren. He is brave and real.
Welcome to the Genius known as Ren! He is from the UK and he is a musician. He’s a poet. He’s a storyteller, a singer and songwriter, a rapper, and so much more he was sick for a lot of years Basically they didn’t know for a long time he was bit by a tick, so he was untreated with lime disease for years and he also has spoken up about ME& chronic fatigue syndrome. They told him he had mental illness but he didn’t. ME/CFS is something that I live with. I’ve been sick for 23 years and he has made a big difference in my life. He is such a great wonderful man and he makes so much music that You could just listen to him all day. He was in a band called The Big Push. There’s so many things that you guys could listen to! Ren is so far the top artist this year so far in my book because he is not in a box. He can do everything! I’m going to give you a couple suggestions first The Tale of Jenny and Screech full version w/ Violet’s Tale, Ren X Chinchilla Chalk Outlines live video, Ren x Chinchilla How to be me live music video, rap Losing It or Hunger. Oh I forgot to say he was a busker for many years (singing on the streets busking)so The Big Push War Pigs. Ren and Sam busking A man’s world/ Falling. Oh and another thing HI REN was Live, he was taking his mic off at the end. Pick whatever add all to your list and do later, just know he is as he says a genius! Loved the reaction! I cry about every reaction I see because I know..
A profound piece of performance art. The creativity and vulnerability is OFF THE CHARTS! Ren needs to be known. This is artistry that touches the heart & soul and let’s people know they aren’t alone in their struggles.
Not only is that him singing, he filmed it live and in 1 take. I’m sure others will tell you of his traumatic life, but know when he stands--he was bed bound for literally YEARS. It’s very triumphant.
That was an awesome reaction to this Renaissance named Ren a modern day masterpiece created in turmoil and forged in the ovens of Hell and presented by a master in his craft.. Yeah he does light fun stuff too. Doesn't really matter what song you choose to listen to of Ren his talent is undeniable in everything he does.
Try 'losing it' for a fun ren track, also awesome. As many will prob say very versatile artist.Been watching reactions for a month now and still living the journey. Can't explain the feeling this song gave me 1st time around, just pure emotions.'chalk outlines' another great song and diff side to his artistry
Everything Ren puts out means something, He does do more upbeat songs they aren't over produced and meaningless, Hi Ren has changed my life as I suffer from PTSD, but with one video he has made a difference to how I face it. I call Ren a minstrel, he's a story teller. And I love him.
Others will be here who know everything about Ren to fill you in, but basically he was misdiagnosed for years and given wrong medicine treating him like he had a mental disorder when in fact it was Lyme disease caused by a tick bite. It's only recently that he now is in Canada getting at least 6 months of therapy and operations treating the Lyme disease.
Genius is the appropriate word! The Tale of Jenny and Screech and Violet's Tale are amazing, and if you want to see him flex his rap chops, The Hunger and Genesis.
Huge music fan for the past 50 years. Huge Ren fan for the past 2 months. No "new" artist has effected me like this in a long, long time. He's got a story to tell for sure. I'd say most of his solo work is pretty heavy emotionally with some exceptions, but both of his bands, Trick the Fox and The Big Push have a lot of joy. Either way, Ren is like sunshine. I liked your video and subscribed.
Ren can do it all and do it well. There’s not enough adjectives to describe the breadth of Rens talent but one that keeps jumping to the forefront of my mind whenever I hear his music is, profound. If you want more Ren like this, “The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full)” is a must watch, “Insomnia” and “Dear God” are worth a listen too If you want to see Ren rap then I suggest his songs “Genesis” The Hunger”, “The Money Game part 1 and 2” If you want to see the fun side of Ren then check out “What You Want”, “Losing It (Fisher Retake)”, “Power” and “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve Retake)” If you want to hear Ren sing then “Chalk Outlines (live)”, “Diazepam”, “Blind Eyed (live) But wait, there’s more! Ren is also in the band The Big Push! A personal favorite of mine is their song “Diginty” but I highly recommend checking out any of their live street performances on CZcams
The world has fallen in love with Ren and he deserves it so much! He is talented on so many levels and a really funny guy. You should check out his band The Big Push as well!!!
Ren is a phenomenal talent. He does all kinds of music and is pretty epic at all of it. He's has a rough go of it because of undiagnosed illness and is currently in Canada for 6 months for treatment.
I'd say his Bittersweet Symphony Retake is a fun joyful one, but most of his music does MEAN something. Even his Bittersweet Symphony Retake is a love letter to his home, but its a mostly happy upbeat one.
I just re-subscribed to your channel!! I dont know how I was unsubscribed,I did NOT do that... Anyway, this guy is INCREDIBLE!! He's a genius, and he has Lyme disease and is fighting for his health in Canada getting treatments right now...but I highly recommend checking out his other stuff,he's honestly an amazing story teller...thank you for finally checking him out.great reactions both of you🎶🎶✌
Thank you! Because I read your comment I too just noticed I’d been unsubscribed, which I *KNOW* I did not do. CZcams needs to get it together and stop hurting their content creators like that 😒
Hey guys so glad you found this. I cried the first time I saw this . Since then I have gone on an emotional journey with this artist. From his solo projects to his collaborations to his band the big push , he brought a new dimension to my life . Because you spoke about men not singing or talking about their feelings, I should say that Ren felt the same and has spoken about it after losing a friend to suicide . His music is not all doom and gloom, on the contrary I fell it is a celebration of life, all of it .
Welcome to Ren. Dive into this rabbit hole. Every song is different. He can do every style. The only thing I've not seen him do is heavy metal, but I'm sure he could do it.
She's right, by the way. I CAN point to this song and say, "this is how I feel." I suffer from bipolar II and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome that makes it hard to keep my meds in my system. It's a daily struggle with mental health problems caused or exacerbated by physical health. But if we persist, if we persevere, we can make it. The struggle is so very human.
I absolutely love Ren! Listen to Sick Boi, The Tale of Jenny and Screech full version and Money Game 1 and 2. There are many more. Look up his story before you Listen to anything else!!
This was the first clip i heard and saw with and about REN. It blew me away, this is an unmatched piece of art. The lyrics is poetically on par with Shakespeare, the music and his ability of understanding and translating emotion is genius level.
Before seeing this track, I knew of Ren from the band he's part of called 'The Big Push'. This work by him is the best by far, I see a whole other side of him. If you want a more fun track by Ren try 'Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake)'
I have gotten obsessed over Ren reaction videos and your reaction is rare , insofar as you actually see the song below the song, the real meaning and message. Love seeing the emotion on people's faces when they are moved by a piece of art.
Ren shines a light on dark issues that plague humanity but that has been swept under the carpet so no one can see. Everyone needs to listen to his message of hope to stay in the light instead of giving into the darkness.
Great reaction, welcome to the Ren rabbit hole ;) its a deep one..pls check out: Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) /// The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop /// Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live) you will not be disapointed by this genius ;)
So good to see you react to Hi Ren. According to Ren Lore, this is a new genre called "Bardcore". I don't know how long I have been under his spell. It has been more than a week and I am still in shock. I don't think the world has seen his equal since Shakespeare. He's an urban troubadour winning over countless hearts.
A few REN songs for you both to check out. Sick Boi. Bittersweet Symphony. The Money. Parts 1 and 2. The Tale of Jenny and Screech. (Full Version) Right Here, Right Now. Power. Chalk Lines. REN + Chinchilla. (Live) Everybody Drops. Crucify Your Culture. Heretic. Diazepam. Ready For You. Dear God.
Ren does all types of music, rap, rock, this style, etc... He has some songs with Chinchilla. Both him and Chinchilla were with the same management label. They left them and became independent. He has great songs such as The tale of Jenny and Screech, Chalk Outlines, Losing it etc... Ren Has Lyme disease and it went un-diagnosed for years and caused brain damage etc... He is now currently in Canada getting treatments.
I found this song about three weeks after he posted it and I said sharing it with people in about three weeks after that it was just the biggest thing everybody’s reaction videos. I love this song and so I just keep listening. I love watching everybody go to the transitions when they haven’t heard it before it is so phenomena.
I have seen 7 million reactions and just returned to this months later minutes ago. It might not hit all of the spots that are my favorites, but this might be my favorite reaction. You guys are so dope.
This video hit CZcams 2 months ago and has over 7 million views. And there are easily over 100 reaction videos, so, yeah, this video hits home for a lot of people. Thanks for sharing your reaction. Love you guys, keep up the good work.
Here is some additional information on Ren's story, in case you didn't already know. I gathered it from an old newspaper interview and Ren's livestreams and posts where he discussed his condition. Ren Eryn Gill is a British musician/independent artist; born in Wales in 1990 or ‘91 (depending on which source you cite), he grew up in Brighton. Ren pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, he began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures. In 2010, he was signed by Sony Records and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point where he was unable to continue and subsequently dropped by Sony. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which lead him to experience psychosis. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is currently in Canada for more treatments, including surgeries, and will have to be there for at least six months (Summer of 2023). Ren's Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder, which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, adrenals, as well as his bones/joints. Ren stated: "It's a lot to wrap my head around having to be away from friends, family, and a successful career, and almost feels like a total juxtaposition to the fact that my music is blowing up right now and spreading to all corners of the world, but that's life, we take the good with the bad." Let's keep supporting Ren and not pull a "Sony" on him as he undergoes his treatment. Check out and subscribe to his channel, listen to some of his earlier work, like and comment on his performances, and let's lift Ren's spirits. If you are a believer, pray for him. Ren is an artist with something to say to this generation, and his work is needed in these troubling times. Here is the link to Ren’s GoFundMe page to raise money for his current treatment. www.gofundme.com/f/ren-get-better-from-lyme-disease-and-autoimmunity
Honestly you need to go down the Ren rabbit hole, to start with 1. tale of jenny and screech (full vs) a trilogy that has to be heard in order. 2. The hunger, 3. Loosing it, 4. Chalk outlines. 5. Power. 6 try 'precious' in his band the big push also genesis so many such breadth and talent many more jaw dropping chills and yes there is much variety.
This is about the 30th time ive listened to this track since first encountering it around 3 days ago. Ive suffered with severe mental health problems for most of my life, including Psychosis. At one time I was on my knees in floods of tears in front of a rapid response team begging them to put me in hospital! Since the Covid lockdowns a lot of my problems resurfaced, even costing me my 16 year relationship with my fiancée! I can not over state how's much this track has helped me! I already feel like i've started to turn a corner
Some greatest musicians didn't get a Grammy (Jimmy Hendrix and Bob Marley) and it doesn't say anything about the success of artists at all. The music industry, with all these prices, is only driving the money train. The shame is that artists like Ren don't get the attention they have to and also need. Even big tech with its social media is driven by money and if you aren't "confirm", be critical and thoughtful and not"fullfill" the mainstream narrative, your accounts are suppressed, blocked and hidden. Our online life is dominated by given narratives which help to spread the word of those who have "special interests" and not want to tell the truth, the whole truth. And I'm not a conspiracy guy either, rather a rational critical thinker, based on facts and reality. Swimming against the stream is exhausting, tiring and sometimes discouraging too. The remarkable things about Ren is, besides his artistry, that he's not shying away from telling some truths, like a failing healthcare industry, bad human habits and behavior, and devastating outcomes of capitalism. I wish everyone to listen carefully and think about what he's saying, playing and acting!
LOL. It always surprise me when ppl don’t realize he can sing after he opens up with it. No words throw most ppl for a loop. You can tell right away if someone can sing or not just by how they hum.
Nice reaction video. You both are great! Welcome to the world of Ren. I won’t bother recommending which Ren song you should react to next, because an army of Ren fans will already be doing that. And I’ll come to watch!
This is art of transcendent beauty and an *important* song. Artists often struggle with imposter syndrome. There’s a movie starring Olivia Munn called “Violet” that rings of this and was a transformative experience for me… just as this song also resonates. As a person who’s never been able to escape imposter syndrome and negative self-talk, *realizing* that I can exert the strength that destructive voice questions-strength that I *know* I have-was sooo important. It takes time to push past the negativity-to make your own voice stronger, but if anyone out there is struggling with this, please please please *know* that you can do it. *Know* that I believe in you… but you don’t need me to-just like you don’t need the shroud of doubt that feels first of protection and then as a prison. You are *stronger* than that voice. You are stronger than you can *possibly* know… until you push back with softness or aggression-your choice.
Ren was in a band ,"The Big Push" & did outdoor performances busking. " I Shot the Sheriff" mashup is crazy good. You'll see another side to his talent. 🙏✌️ THX
Ren has said he wanted to strip this down to basics. He nailed it with just him, guitar, lighting and cameras. This is one shot live with close ups separate. Check out Ren's awesome music! So diverse from rap to reggae to different genres. Genius and more! Great reaction guys 👍
You both said that I wasn't him, it was. Misdiagnosed at 17 with bipolar disassociative disorder. 5 years later they figured out it was Lyme disease. This guy is a genius. Glad you found him, your facial reactions say it all.
Thanks for a good reaction to this. Was subbed to you at some point. Will renew sub now. Ren excels in so many types of music and all of it is 🔥 Cannot stop watching and listening to his stuff as Ren and also with his band The Big Push.
This video is like a lump of coal that slowly dissolves and reveals the amazing, multi faceted, beautiful, diamond that is Ren as the video progresses.. Looking forward to you two exploring Ren's facets. I'd suggest looking at Ren's catalogue and just picking something. There are a few caveats. Ren and CHINCHILLA sing Chalk Outlines (it's beautiful and more like a ballad) Ren rips some rap in many songs but The Hunger and Losing It (Fischer Rap Retake) are my two favorites right now Ren sings (busking or street performing) with Sam Tompkins with the song Blind Eyed. Ren's a member of the band The Big Push, which has many busking videos and some straight music videos. Some original work but many killer covers from metal, hard rock, rap, reggae and fusions of all of it. The other full on story is Ren's trilogy. The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full). You can watch each one separately but the first two go together (The Tale of Jenny and Screech's Tale) while the third connects things with a shocking twist (Violets Tale).
I just wanted to add another thing I dont know if you caught it but he references us listening to the song "Let me break the fourth wall by acknowledging this song" phenomenal.
I’ve watched probably 40 reactors, reacting to this song and when Ren starts Ooo ooo oo oooo oo ( you know what I mean) the reactors eye brows go up and Wow, I wasn’t expecting that, is generally the comment.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, it IS him. Just him and his guitar, one solid take. Most of his videos are done this same way. This guy is a BRILLIANT musician. Plays multiple instruments, makes his own beats, writes his own lyrics, and on top of all that, he's a truly stunning rapper AND musical story-teller. Check out "Losin' it" & "Hunger" for his rap skills and "Jenny", then "Screech', then "Violet" (in that order) for some truly amazing story-telling. Your jaw will drop. I promise. Once you learn about his history and current health struggles it just makes it that much more astounding. He's special.
I discovered this song a month or so ago, from another reactor. Now, I seek out reactions to it. It is SO moving to watch people discover this for the first time. As you said, it is SO relatable, even if it's not on the same level as his own personal experience. It's a masterpiece. I swear I cry at every reaction to it. He comments on many reactions to this song, so don't be surprised if he says something. I'm so in love with this guy.
This piece of art is just that....ART, it is what we want it to be whether auditorial/ocular, or emotional...it should b thought provoking, feeling dredging and at its very least raw....it does me good knowing that yalls generation get this and that yall have a such a stake in mental health awareness..... @wilburn u mentioned men feeling Invincible, may I recommend "Invincible" by TOOL for a reaction, its about our struggle with age as humans
I went through the Ren rabbit hole a month ago. And I listen to his music every day all day long. So versatile. Great story teller. The lyrics are about real important stuff. And most of his music videos are live recordings of his singing and playing. He is singing ALL the singing in this video live. He is a genius of his own genre bardcore.
Watching people's jaws drop hearing this for the 1st time will never get old.
Never. 🥰
Facts
Yep. I just keep watching Ren reactions and loving every one . (Also his other stuff and his covers.)
I think I must have watched 100 reactions by now 😂

One of the greatest new artists I've seen in a long, long while--and I'm 64 lol. Incredible singer, rapper, guitarist, lyricist, actor...this guy is beyond impressive. I've been on a "Ren-a-thon" between watching his CZcams channel videos and reactors' videos I'd recommend "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" next, which is a trilogy of tales, the tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet (in that order). While the overall story is quite serious, there are moments of dark humor or at least irony. I'll be 60 next month and I agree
53, and I completely agree.
And I’m 73. I agree with all you said. I’ve been listening to him like I listen to NF.
im 59 and the same , all ive been watching is ren hi ren reaction videos , along with playing his other stuff which is pretty good too .
Representing Rens geriatric fan club. 52 here and this guy is on a level we haven’t seen for a while.
Ren is a Poet, a Singer, a Rapper, a Musician, a Composer, a Songwriter, a Producer, an Actor......an Artist. Keep going down the Ren rabbit hole, there's literally nothing he can't do. Thanks John. You are right on point and I love what you are doing.
He may be all those things you said in the first sentence but to me he's just a modern day Bard, a Minstrel per say and like Ren says he's Bardcore.
@@bojnebojnebojne Truth, He is
This performance blows EVERYONE away because none of us, have ever, seen such artistry before.
True
Ani Difranco might have a thing to say about that
“Hi Ren" is the song that put Ren on everyone's radar since December; it went viral and has garnered more than 5 million views since its debut, but he has been creating great music for more than ten years.
Check out “The Hunger,” “Genesis,” “What You Want,” “Losing it (FISHER rap retake),” “Right here, right now (Fatboy Slim one shot retake),” "Life is Funny," “Love Music (Parts 1, 2, and 3),” “Crucify Your Culture,” “Power,” and his latest release, “Bittersweet symphony (The Verve retake).”
As I recently discovered, Ren also recorded a cover of “Can't Help Falling In Love (Elvis Cover),” that is simply beautiful.
Very nice breakdown of his work
"...my music is connected, the people that find it respect it..." -Ren speaking Truth.
Ren is going to make a change in the world. The Ren Rabbithole Gang is growing, supporting each other and lifting each other up. People are starting to open up about their mental health issues and are seeing that they aren't alone 🖤🖤🖤
This is a live recording, makes it even more incredible !!
I knew Ren before and is amazing that more people is listening to him, he deserves it and needs the love ad respect as an artist
Loved your reaction!
Ten..🥰👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Try 'losing it' for a fun ren track, also awesome. As many will prob say very versatile artist.Been watching reactions for a month now and still living the journey. Can't explain the feeling this song gave me 1st time around, just pure emotions.'chalk outlines' another great song and diff side to his artistry
Everything Ren puts out means something, He does do more upbeat songs they aren't over produced and meaningless, Hi Ren has changed my life as I suffer from PTSD, but with one video he has made a difference to how I face it. I call Ren a minstrel, he's a story teller. And I love him.
Bardcore! 🌺🖖🏻💕
If you want more Ren like this, “The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full)” is a must watch, “Insomnia” and “Dear God” are worth a listen too
If you want to see Ren rap then I suggest his songs “Genesis” The Hunger”, “The Money Game part 1 and 2”
If you want to see the fun side of Ren then check out “What You Want”, “Losing It (Fisher Retake)”, “Power” and “Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve Retake)”
If you want to hear Ren sing then “Chalk Outlines (live)”, “Diazepam”, “Blind Eyed (live)
But wait, there’s more! Ren is also in the band The Big Push! A personal favorite of mine is their song “Diginty” but I highly recommend checking out any of their live street performances on CZcams
Love ren. Such an amazing talent
The world has fallen in love with Ren and he deserves it so much! He is talented on so many levels and a really funny guy. You should check out his band The Big Push as well!!!
Watch Ren x Chinchilla - How to be me. (Live) Its about his friend committing suicide. It showcases Ren and Chinchilla's voices. Beautiful!
Ren is a phenomenal talent. He does all kinds of music and is pretty epic at all of it.
He's has a rough go of it because of undiagnosed illness and is currently in Canada for 6 months for treatment.
I wish Ren published a 2 hour track of him just Yodeling. It's so soothing.
It's not yodeling, but yeah.
Please! It’s called singing not yodeling
Please! It’s called singing not yodeling
A modern day masterpiece. Absolutely love it.
She was like, "That's not him." 🤣It's him; welcome to Ren
Ren is a genius. Welcome to the rabit hole. He is the bard of our times.
I'm 55 and he is one the most talented artists I can think of right now.
I'd say his Bittersweet Symphony Retake is a fun joyful one, but most of his music does MEAN something. Even his Bittersweet Symphony Retake is a love letter to his home, but its a mostly happy upbeat one.
I love Ren.
Absolutely amazing with talent to burn. My favourite in a very long time.

CZcams needs to get it together and stop hurting their content creators like that 😒
Ren is amazing. If you wanna hear a great story, check out the Ren Trilogy. Three songs that all mesh together. You’ll love it.
Great job. Be careful, Ren is addictive.
Great reaction both. Welcome to the amazing rabbit hole that is the music of the modern bard Ren
Welcome to the Ren world
Hey guys so glad you found this.
This is one you need to listen to numerous times. You'll find something new every time.
I couldn't agree more, mate. I've watched at least 100 reactions to this song and watched them go from skeptical to their lids being blown off!
Just getting my daily dose of Ren😁
Well Done. Now strap in and dive into the Ren rabbit hole.
Huge catalog, no bad songs
See that lapel mic on his collar? This is a live performance..makes it even more mind blowing
Ren’s ”Diazepam” is a chill song!
Genuinely enjoyed this reaction. Thank you.
Great reaction, welcome to the Ren rabbit hole ;) its a deep one..pls check out:
Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) /// The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop /// Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live)
you will not be disapointed by this genius ;)

"The more intensly that the light shown the darker the shadow it cast."
(Full Version)
Right Here, Right Now.
Power.
Chalk Lines. REN + Chinchilla. (Live)
Everybody Drops.
Genius is the best way to put this. Great reaction
Chalk-lines and Sick Boi need to come next. Ren is amazing with his art and messaging.
He us a TRUE artist. Skilled, talented and visionary and beaming with life
This video hit CZcams 2 months ago and has over 7 million views. And there are easily over 100 reaction videos, so, yeah, this video hits home for a lot of people. Thanks for sharing your reaction. Love you guys, keep up the good work.
This is one of the greatest songs.. feelings.. emotions..
Ren stated: "It's a lot to wrap my head around having to be away from friends, family, and a successful career, and almost feels like a total juxtaposition to the fact that my music is blowing up right now and spreading to all corners of the world, but that's life, we take the good with the bad."
Let's keep supporting Ren and not pull a "Sony" on him as he undergoes his treatment. Check out and subscribe to his channel, listen to some of his earlier work, like and comment on his performances, and let's lift Ren's spirits. If you are a believer, pray for him. Ren is an artist with something to say to this generation, and his work is needed in these troubling times. Here is the link to Ren’s GoFundMe page to raise money for his current treatment. www.gofundme.com/f/ren-get-better-from-lyme-disease-and-autoimmunity
just be sure he s gonna be the voice for many looses nooses... god bless him
Honestly you need to go down the Ren rabbit hole, to start with 1. tale of jenny and screech (full vs) a trilogy that has to be heard in order.
He busks in my home town and is amazing. No auto tune or edits. He is a serious talent. Check out his old band as well...The Big Push.
I have been enjoying jumping around hearing the song and the reactions. Plus this is totally beyond the fabric of reality.
a modern renaissance man. He's incredibly talented rapper, instrumentalist, and singer. I heard he also did drawing too.
LOL. It always surprise me when ppl don’t realize he can sing after he opens up with it. No words throw most ppl for a loop. You can tell right away if someone can sing or not just by how they hum.
He's the King of one shot, live performances! Ie... Jenny and Screech trilogy!!! (Full Version!)
You are stronger than you can *possibly* know…
until you push back with softness or aggression-your choice.
Ren was in a band ,"The Big Push" & did outdoor performances busking. " I Shot the Sheriff" mashup is crazy good. You'll see another side to his talent. 🙏✌️ THX
The moment the People realizes - shit - a one in million Masterpiece.
Great reaction to REN, one of the best reactions I’ve seen to this track……cheers😎
Tale of Jenny /Screech (full) - dooood. Don't prewatch it. It will blow your mind..
Ren has said he wanted to strip this down to basics. He nailed it with just him, guitar, lighting and cameras. This is one shot live with close ups separate. Check out Ren's awesome music! So diverse from rap to reggae to different genres. Genius and more! Great reaction guys 👍
One take guys . This is a masterful work of art that has so much depth. Great rabbit hole of work
You both said that I wasn't him, it was. Misdiagnosed at 17 with bipolar disassociative disorder. 5 years later they figured out it was Lyme disease. This guy is a genius. Glad you found him, your facial reactions say it all.
Sick boi & chalk outlines r so good too!!
Great reaction as usual -- you are very perceptive lady -- I'm feel sure that are a great wife and mother.
Lots and lots of different kinds of music all across-the-board let's dive in
Thanks for a good reaction to this.
Was subbed to you at some point. Will renew sub now.
Ren excels in so many types of music and all of it is 🔥
Cannot stop watching and listening to his stuff as Ren and also with his band The Big Push.
We are all proud members of Ren Nation ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
This video is like a lump of coal that slowly dissolves and reveals the amazing, multi faceted, beautiful, diamond that is Ren as the video progresses..
Looking forward to you two exploring Ren's facets.
I'd suggest looking at Ren's catalogue and just picking something. There are a few caveats.
Ren and CHINCHILLA sing Chalk Outlines (it's beautiful and more like a ballad)
Ren rips some rap in many songs but The Hunger and Losing It (Fischer Rap Retake) are my two favorites right now
Ren sings (busking or street performing) with Sam Tompkins with the song Blind Eyed.
Chod you're speech at the end also hit home hardbody. I've never heard you talk from the heart like that and I can tell you meant it.
So many Easter Eggs in this. Everything is connected to everything
Yay at last you've found Ren, enjoy!
Chalk outlines live with Chinchilla is beautiful
He is a Gift.
