Guys if you're into Merthur like me i CANNOT stop recommending the fanfiction "The Once and Future Kings" by tjmcharg on Ao3. I've always been a big reader and in my 18 years of existence i've never been this addicted to a piece of literature: the writer is incredibly talented, she writes introspection SO WELL, the characters are so well portrayed etc. It's a complete rewriting of the series fixing plot holes and making it gay but keeping all the important events (and she does it beautifully). It's a veeeery slow burn but so so worth it: it's a chapter every month and we're only at 31/50 so you see how much content there is..... Anyway it's been with me through my depression for almost 2 years now and i hope it never ends (i cry every chapter..). So yeah go check it out!!!!!
