add some angle alu on the back wall with some slots cut into it and some magnets on the lift and you have an eddy current emegancy brake if the cable snapped

@@terrijuanette486 No, Sorry. Make a straight vertical line with a long straight edge or chalk line. Slip all of your brackets over the rail. Align rail with line. Put a strap at the top of rail to hold in position but allow for play. Starting at bottom secure first bracket keeping rail aligned. Work your way up spacing brackets at 24 inch intervals. Keep rail on line. Other rail should be made parallel to first, keeping distance between rails the same. If you need to join rails just put the bracket over the center of joint. There is a 3/4 inch spacer board behind the rail cut to space the brackets. This puts tension between the rail and the surface you are mounting it to. Without these spacers you rail will move in and out in the bracket. Hope this helps.
The winch is rated at 2200 lbs. That is with a snatch block doubling the cable. I have the cable direct to the platform so 1100#. Rails and wheels are rated at 450 lbs. If to do the math and work out the moment arms safe to place 1100 lbs distributed over the platform. Since the upright of the platform is longer than the one perpendicular to the wall by a foot you could lift 600 lbs on the outer edge without exceeding the limits of the rails and wheels.
Love it, I've been using ine if these to lift wall on my building site
Do you happen to have a parts list and how to build video?
Thank you!
