Hi! Great build!! It's also so great that this is like a C model for the Lego Model. I really want to make it also cause it looks so fantastic and fun build. May I suggest something? If you have the whole model build an easy way to 'make' a manual is to just dissasemble it while recording (holding the pieces clear before the camera) and then just reverse the video! :) Thats how a lot of other builders on CZcams make tutorial/manuals. That way it doesn't take so much time and you always have a reference for yourself on how to make this model again. (If you don't already know it from memory after all these years that is! :D)

Top points on the gears and working/getting those values so close.
The only other thing I saw that would make it even better is to work on the gear box so it is autonomous. It extends, when it gets to the full extension distance, it flips the gear lever and makes it shrink.

I have a lego crane set 42009 that transfers power linearly. It has 4 support legs that extend outward and then push down to lift the wheels off the ground and prevent it from rolling when the crane is in use. Power from the gearbox is transferred through a turntable into the body of the vehicle to power those legs. The power can be transferred to either a gear rack that extends the supports or through an axle that runs parallel to the rack to power the linear actuators that push the supports into the ground. The axle is long enough to extend across the width of the crane and is fixed to the end of the support, with a red 8 tooth gear that also slides along the axle easily being driven by the gearbox transferring power to the actuator.
The difference between your design and the lego set is that the gear stays in place while the axle slides through it, rather than the axle staying in place as the worm gear is pushed along the axle

I might try this one day. When I first built it, I did get it to dig some Lego Pieces off of a wall. It worked surprisingly well, but a bit underwhelming. I didn't include a shot like that in this video because setting it up again did not seem worth it for the quality of the video I would get from it. However, I will keep thinking about a good material that it can try digging through.
