Love these video's! I would love an in depth video on floating lines; what's the difference between, and the main pros and cons of weight forward vs double tapered, smooth vs textured, etc.
Depends on how many flies I’m using, it generally leader for streamers are short with sink tip or sinking lines and a bit longer with floating lines. I build my own butt sections with 20 and 15 pound fluorocarbon (about 30” total) and terminate at a tippet ring. Then I add tippet appropriate for fly and fish size that day. Most commonly 1x or 2x.
If you’re having fun, and catching fish you’re doing some things right. If you’d like to catch more fish, then yes, other lines will enable you to better present flies with various techniques. If one line did everything equally well nobody would make other options. The Infinity is a great line, and is quite versatile, but isn’t good for euro nymphing, and won’t help you get streamers deep. For dries, dry/dropper, indicator nymphing, and shallow streamer techniques an infinity taper is great.
This is super awesome lance! And y'all have an awesome fly shop too!
Very high quality content! Thanks for taking the time Mr Egan

Lances fly fishing knowledge really is amazing !
Never heard of the see saw retrieve but can see it's one I need to use. Thanks.
Thanks for your explanation of streamer techniques!
Thanks for explaining, helpful!
Good stuff
Only Lance can inadvertently catch fish.😂
How long of a leader are you using with a streamer setup and does it taper or one length of say 3x?
