Thanks for your video's, great help. Getting my 1st system fitted next week. Going for it done for the first time
I am a barber/hairdresser of 35years but think for the 1st cut maybe best getting done by stylist. Unfortunately living in Sheffield not best place to find people who do this.
Will definitely be following and keep up the good work.
Are any of these ones near you at all?
www.lavividhair.com/salon-shop
I bought one online and had a salon put it on style it ect just observed how they did it the whole process. They charged me 300 us dollars said it would be 100 if I went to them to clean then reinstall for regular maintenance, nice learning experience I think as time goes Iâll get hang of diy
100 just for maintenance?! Woah, yes definitely best to train yourself up to do youâre own maintenance in future đŤĄ
@@HairSystemDIY yes 100 itâs crazy how much places charge and believe it or not but thatâs cheap compared to what some other places charge lol Iâm considering only going once the first time to observe how they remove clean unit/scalp ect then reattach so I can mimic it in the future saving a ton of money đ
My aunts says her husband (my uncles) systems have lasted as long as 2 years. Is this true for most systems? A lot of websites say they only last a couple months
Have you ever considered doing SMP? Itâs no maintenance almost at all. Also, which lace is the best for believability? French or Swiss?
SMP isnât for me right now. I just prefer having longer hair on my head. For believability French and Swiss are both EXTREMELY realistic. I think thereâs very little in it. French does last at least 2-3 times longer though!
Hi. Found this video very informative. Iâm a total beginner. 64 years old. Started losing my hair at 21/22. Have shaved it for years. 5 years ago I had SMP. It looks great. But Iâm a rocker/biker. Iâve always wanted to have long hair again. I have plenty of hair at the back and sides. Would it be possible to grow it and have a hair system cut in? Iâve subscribed to the Chanel. Many thanks.
Nick
Yes definitely. Grow it out for about 3 weeks and then get a stock system ordered and get a stylist to cut in. This is the lady I use: www.hairight.com
Great videos, very helpful! What shampoo and conditioner do you recommend when you wash and clean your hair system at home? Thanks
Itâs good he makes videos, very helpful and lets you know youâre not alone in this world who wears these things
Atm Iâm using Joico shampoo and conditioner! Itâs pretty much perfect for systems, which have coloured hair
Thanks mate. Glad my videos are helping people âşď¸âşď¸
@@HairSystemDIY can you please name the exact shampoo model you have now? Iâm looking at their website and theyâve got loadsâŚ
@@recordsmanukrnet I use pro series range, authentic beauty concept are good too just a bit expensive
Surely you would have to use a salon at least to start with as the hair system needs cutting in?
When you DYI first, how do you know what size of cap you need? Also, is there a good UV spray to use during summer to maintain the color and longevity?
Purchase 8x10 and then when you get a stylist they will cut the base for you
Thereâs not really a great UV spray on the market currently. Mix your time between going out in the sun with your system and then other times wearing a hat
Adhesive remover from the system please? After I remove the tape, the system is sticky. What to use to remove the stickiness?
Itâs called C22 adhesives remover. Available on Amazon / eBay đ đ
I have looked into salons and there was one in Manchester that offer finance details, think it was ÂŁ175 a month but probably doesn't include fitting. The London hair clinic systems look amazing but probably pricey based on how good there systems look. Cheaper online just doing research before buying ect.
100% youâll save thousands doing it yourself. Bit more legwork required in the early days but it saves you a tonne of money.
Hi chris, I have mine done in Manchester, had a refit and cut yesterday, the direct debit per month is for the system only not the fitting, that will be 1 new system every month, I got mine in March and not doing every month, itâs personal choice, mine still looks great, it depends on your budget.
@@PaulO-se6nl out of interest how much does this cost a month? Might do a video comparing salon cost v DIY cost
@@PaulO-se6nl Hi fella - will be doing the same thing - they are good with cutting and give good style?
@@ishogunronin6626 hi there yeah Iâm on my 2nd one now which I got in July, I have a faded cut from the sides into it, they are specialists and good at it yeah, can have any style I want but just have it forward with a flicked up fridge slightly I love it
Hi mate quick question. I play football and Iâm getting hair system this week. I want to know as I play football and obviously we header the ball a lot, would this damage the hair or would the hair system fly or slide off?
No it should do mate. The hair itself is pretty robust. There are a fair few sportspeople who wear hair systems đ
hi Adam, can we replace the C22 with IPA 99.9%? Can't stand the oily mess. Will it be more effective to remove adhesive tape or glue on the system?
Itâs not very good at removing adhesive. The idea of it is to clean the scalp. There are other adhesive removers available other than c22 so you may want to consider trying something else
@@HairSystemDIY thanks Adam. you look hawt in your system.
You said poly in the middle but what about it not being breathable
what do you do about your drivers license and passport photos where you had no or little hair and now you have a full set of hair, you now look very different from your photo ID
I have a new passport and drivers ID đ
Question... my system its losing its color....do you ever dye yours? If so how do you go about it? An what brand would you recommend?
I did a video on it called âI dyed my hair systemâ or something that. Check it out
Have you got a link for that video
@@champuss he didnât do it too long ago, just try searching it, I remember him doing that video I watched it a few times
Mine is bleached from the sunbed, gone a lot lighter, Iâm leaving it for the summer then will renew
Where would you recommend buying one from?
LaVivid. Check my description box for a discount code
Hi. If I go on the Diy and buy swiss lace what other meterial do I need to remove clean etc..
C22 adhesive remover, and any of the Walker tapes. Isopropyl alcohol to clean the scalp. Check my tutorials playlist đ
@@HairSystemDIY what about moisturizer? Do you have a to z tutorial? Thanks
On how to moisturise?
@@HairSystemDIY what moistures to use? Shampoos ? Do i need to wash the system when i first get it?
Yes wash the base of the system to remove the spray they put on it. I use a shampoo called Joico which is available on Amazon. I use an anti aging moisturizer by a bran called Bulldog (in the U.K.)
Ive used them touch up sprays which are very helpful...but they clog your hair up abit...an wreck your clothing ive found out.....dam it đ
How about that glued from Schwarzkopf?
Not trying to be negative but your system looks terrible.
Not trying to be negative and then saying something negative. Cheers mate, you sound like a right laugh on a night out đ đ¤Ş
