Had several of these over the years. Great engines especially compared to the Northstar. The injectors and IAC motor will eventually fail, and the front fenders are known to crack mid way as they are plastic, head liner will fall. Also keep the coolant fresh to stay away from head gasket issues. Just a heads up from my experience. They float down the road like a cadillac should.
Had a 1991 Cadillac sedan Deville with the 4.9 litre it was a good car put about 107,000 miles on it with not a problem the later Northstar models had more power but also more problems
With new tires, a new set of spark plugs and some Sea Foam in the gas tank, it will easily be worth $1,500. It's an egregious mistake to call a Cadillac a beater. A beater is the idiot who didn't take care of the car.

Yes I can, it only does that because the car has a battery kill switch.
