Shamu had killed 2 other employees, yet they still used him for shows until he killed again. It turns out that not only was he the youngest Orca at the time to be ripped away from his Mother in the wild for training, but he was bullied by the other Orcas presumably because he was not from their pod. He must've been a very traumatised Orca. After he killed the third person, they punished him by isolating him in a small pen to live out the rest of his life where no one was allowed to touch him because he was so dangerous. Orcas are very social creatures. If he wasn't already insane, he would have gone completely insane by then. Yet they still practice this today because the shows make so much money for the higher ups. Oh! You say they don't take them from the wild as much any more? Instead they 'milk' sperm from the males to artificially impregnate the chosen female Orcas. Yeah. Us humans are really great creatures! How would you like to be treated like that! 😢 Those shows should be banned!
Shamu was the stage name used for several performing orcas at SeaWorld. The original Shamu was a female. She never killed anyone, but did clamp down on her trainers legs and refused to let go. Her mouth had to be pried open and the trainer needed 100 stitches. The whale you're referring to was Tillikum. Like every whale in captivity, his is a very sad story.
The upper class people don't care about animals or what is done to them they only care about is making their pockets bigger with money and some humans should have been swallowed then be born sharks and whales should be able to live in the ocean with out have to worry about people hurting them for spot or have their babies takeaway or be killed how would a human feel if they was hunted or their babies takeaway or killed they would not like it and these whales don't either they are only protecting themselves and their babies so if you go in the ocean and something happens to you it's your fault not the animals because the ocean is where they live and that is like someone come in your house without a invite
They should never be allowed to train animals period for sport or entertainment there standing up for themselves now good We were ment ti protect them not exploit them
Not only banned ; those who do Orca shows should be punished. Exactly right social creatures who "live in the wild"; who are we to take their lives away solely for monetary gain.
I use to love swimming in the ocean, gulf shore coast in Alabama, Padre Island and Corpus Christie in TX, Manatee Bay and Tampa Bay, not anymore, not after finding out bull shark attacks have gotten more frequent and to the point those dang fish will even chase after you in knee deep water. I'm good.

I used to swim in the ocean all the time, but the gulf stream has moved closer to shore. Which brings sharks. Don't swim anymore.
I saw where last year in May 3 massive tagged Great Whites were tracked swimming around the Bahamas like Athol island&one was named Ironbound.

Fam, wasn't Japan where the Sunami caused the nuclear plant to contaminate the area? We have heard about what happened when we bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima. How there have been many birth defects and abnormalities due to exposure to radiation. The only sea creature I know that comes up out of the water that looks like this fish is a dolphin. Recently off the coastal water in Northern California, there was a sighting of many, adolescent great white
sharks close to the shoreline.
Another end sign, animals will turn on humans. And I go to Inlet Beach ⛱️ 😎 FL end of July. Did have an incident with bull shark going under kayak at 2nd sand bar. Turned and looked me in the eyes 👀 Husband wanted to see the sharks, lol 😆 it was surreal...

I was wade fishing on the 2nd sand bar down in Ft. Myers Florida a few years ago and had a run in with a nice size bullshark (4 to 6 feet long). It was around sunset and I was literally the only person in the water when I looked down the coastline. The water was calm as glass which really helped me spot the dorsal fin and the tail fin when it popped up right infront of me about 20 yards away heading straight in my direction. I immediately turned around and high stepped it out of the water as fast as I could!
oh course its changing they are sick of how we treat them, they have memories too and know that we are not deserving of good treatment at this point, free the orca that is their home not ours
I can’t understand these people who go out fishing on the ocean in a little boat or a kayak! The guy who was diving at night in the sea of Cortez was EXTREMELY lucky to get out alive. That was. Humboldt Squid, which have a body about 6ft long and will kill and eat people.

Water moccasins are aggressive and will swim towards you if you come too close. I came close to walking on water when one was coming at me in a creek!
Me, also. Bad storm on a side bay. Hurricane was coming up Chesapeake Bay. I was about 13. Grandpa woke me up middle of night to go in water (super tide above normal and high winds) to release the lines from sterns. Tide, wind, waves had maxed the slack - by releasing we hoped boats would better ride out waves (they did). One was sunk but that was my aluminum 14 ft w a covered bow and it floated it out 😳😂 Swimming back to shore - only about 15 ft the light in the pier showed a snake (moccasin or brown water snake --- whatever) scared me and gramps said I walked on water and ran thru the yard. Lol. I had an awesome childhood and education. Well loved, also. Y'all think gramp and/or I were crazy, but people used to do shit for the farms, boats, other equipment, property. I was a string swimming and used to swim off shore in Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Jaws ruined me. Lol

People underestimate sharks and their tenacity is unbelievable. Bull sharks are the worst. They don't need any one to provoke them into attacking. These sharks are exstreamly dangerous and when they get a human they are trying to consume you. Great White sharks are exstreamly intelligent and they know exactly what we are and they are deciding whether to attack or not when they are watching humans. They are very tiratorial and don't want surfboards, kayaks or humans in their water and attack more than you can emagin. You would be surprised to know how many people have been attacked and consumed by Great White sharks. Tiger sharks are know as the oceans garbage can. They go after anything and even though there's been some people who have been attacked and consumed by Tiger sharks, they are best known for taking a bite and moving on. These huge apex predators are coming closer to our beaches than ever and it's not safe to be in the water where they are.
