I worked as a pharmacist for 20 years since 23yo and saved close to $1million. This gave me a chance to own several franchise businesses that set me completely free. I know pharmacy is not for all, but I say if you start young, you are ahead of 99% of most people in their 20's.

I don't enjoy it and I'm in rx school.

Just remember if you don’t find any area in pharmacy that you don’t enjoy it’s not the end of the world

@@KevinYeePharmD I been having a hard time concentrating. Lack of motivation and passion. Had to take a leave of absence. I want to complete the degree. In some aspects I feel I am helping people and I like the science behind it but I'm not passionate anymore for it. I have been at it for awhile and overtime it became bored and uninteresting.

@@ericajames6579 If the real question is should you quit pharmacy school, no one can or should answer that for you. You need to come with that answer yourself. I'm going to make a few assumptions so I might be wrong about somethings.
While most people will give the logical answer of "well what are you going to do next?", the thing is there's great wisdom in our intuition and I believe there was a good reason why you took an LOA whether you're conscious of it or not.
I think it's a good reflection point of the elements of why you feel the way about pharmacy and what changed during school. If you do leave pharmacy, you don't want to repeat the same cycles of the same life lessons, investing tuition and more importantly time and energy into a career.
Even you tough it out, is this really a career that you want to stay in for the next 10, 20, or even 30 years? If you're thinking about residency or other fields, can you compete with those who have a true love for pharmacy practice? If you don't know the next steps or what you're going to do next, that's okay. It's a part of life. Life isn't always so cut and dry. So the real question is - are you willing to leave for the possibility of something more aligned to you and your calling? Or do you want to stay in a career which you might hold resentment towards?
I could be wrong, but it seems like you know what the answer is in your heart and what you want to do, but the next steps might feel scary or uncertain. As someone who has gone through this exact path I'll say this... everything will be ok no matter what you decide.

@@KevinYeePharmD thank you for your input. While continuing I will have a degree that no one can take away from me and also will have the knowledge that is valuable. But I do need to create an innovative way as far as a career. I know for a fact. I just can't stand up 12 hours a day in retail and do a repetitive job.
