no more rampage+onslaught :sob:
Instead it’s been made much better onalught used to decrease the damage as the fire rate went up that’s where rampage came in, however they removed the damage penalty, so it’s much better cause now you can have a perk that’s actually doing something in the other slot
The reason breakneck got changed to have subsistence is because onslaught got buffed to not reduce your damage after a kill

2 months ago the damage still rampped up. but i guessssss it was because they updated the perk i guess

I used to adore Hazard of the Cast which was basically Breakneck with normal perks, so I'm looking forward to getting one of these :)
The only bad thing is that you can't get both rampage and onslaught like the original weapon :((
Exactly
Rampage didn’t really work on the breakneck since damage decreased to accommodate for higher rpm. This new onslaught is better than old onslaught+rampage since damage doesn’t decrease when you activate onslaught now.
Because you dont need it anymore. Before Rampage was almost required because Onslaught used to reduce the damage you did.
But it no longer does so its a straight damage buff. Its basically Rampage and Desperado in one with a reload speed bump.
It's actually even better.
Onslaught used to decrease damage with each kill, and rampage would just bring it up again. Onslaught now doesn't do that, so its doing the same damage as Rampage + Onslaught did before. So you're basically getting the old perk combo but with an extra 3rd column perk and the origin trait.

Pretty sure they buffed onslaught to fire faster to make up for its lack of rampage so Id say its just as powerful.

Better idea for the build part:
Run this mod setup on solar hunter and use the dodge that gives you Radiant, giving you both Kinetic Surge (22% buff) and Radiant (25% in PvE), which comes out to roughly 52% more damage. This also lets you use Harmonic Siphon (assuming you still use Solar weapons for this), freeing up a mod slot on the helmet, so you potentially (depending on what stat mod you use) can slot in something like a finder mod

A: (Apart from Heli always being radiant in our eyes) Seasonal Artifact, 3rd column top slot, Flint Striker "Rapid Solar weapon precision hits, and Solar weapon final blows grant Radiant" is my guess.

Not breakneck but I have a 5/5 Ros Arago IV: Extended barrel, Accurized Rounds, Rewind Rounds, Onslaught, range master work. Also it's a 600rpm auto so Onslaught x3 is very fast
Got sub/onslaught literally first try and I think it might be the best pve auto rifle in that slot tbh. Also hyped to get the ability spam roll (pugilist/demo). keep the weapon reviews coming! -dino
Sub kinetic tremors is even better. Onslaught sux now that you cant get rampage
@@chaikagaz factually incorrect. the reason they removed rampage is because they buffed onslaught to not reduce damage so onslaughts damage now is the same as it used to be with rampage

Probably have Flint Striker on your artifact. It’ll make you radiant with sustained precision shots or damage.
That only works with solar weapons

After 27 Breakneck rolls, I finally got Sub/Onslaught and man, I have the Ros Arago and the Lethal Abundance. Bot are very good, in fact Ros Arago is probably the best one, but dammit do I just love the 450 rpm ramp up most.

While the weapon is mid at best, I cannot imagine this taking over the my usual primary weapon slots like qss, wishender, riptide or heritage.
For those wondering, v1.0 Onslaught was cracked because it didnt lower your weapon's damage. v2.0 was sometime after its release, and it lowered your damage-per-bullet so Rampage was necessary. v.3.0, which is the version we have now, no longer lowers weapon damage so its better than the version almost everyone is familiar with.
What's the difference between cascade point and Onslaught, they seem to do the same thing.
So they broight back thw weapon but worst.....😒 yeah ill past i still my mine i earned ill just use that with rampage and onslaught
Except it’s not worse it’s better they removed the damage decrease from onslaught, so instead of rampage being a wasted perk you can get something better like subsistence
