When news broke that Kim Jong Un was in a vegetative state, the world wondered who would be the next supreme leader of North Korea. He does have a young son who’s underaged, so it seems as though someone more adult will end up taking his place. One obvious candidate is his sister, Kim Yo Jong. Even though this country has a way to go in terms of gender equality, there are some compelling reasons why she might be next in line. . . and why she may be the most powerful person to hold the position yet! Her father was the famous Kim Jong Il, but her grandmother, Kim Jong Suk, was also a well-loved and respected leader in her country and it’s possible she will follow in her footsteps. This could have a huge impact on international relations, including current negotiations with the United States and possible peace talks with South Korea. Strength isn’t just about military power, and there’s a chance Kim Yo Jong will use her substantial political savvy to get her way. Although she’s spent a lot of time in her brother’s shadow, she’s also spent a lot of time learning what it takes to get to the top!

I hope Kim Yo-Jung becomes the next leader. Even thoughi do not necessarily like the parts about her and the artillery, she is branching out to a lot of countries even South Korea.
