What if ,i power the hard disk from smps of desktop and the SATA is connected to my laptop's dvd drive port?via sata cable?then it should work on laptop ,right?
i have a WD hdd and i am using a toshiba external Hdd board. i Have done exactly as you did. but not working. the problem is that my WD hardisk is not recognised. it is showing in the disk management . but showing it as unknown device and not intialized. WD hdd has power. and is spining. disk management is showing as toshiba 3.0 hdd. WD hdd is no where. plz help...

12v ke sath ic 7805 laga ke aik 5v ka supply bhi bana len red wire main 5v orange main 12 de den
