Justin, you should do a top 10 spicy fragrance with notes that aren’t too common in most fragrances, both designer and niche. With the ladies of course!
All perfumes have a shelf-life. The more woody the notes, the longer the perfume lasts. Over time, the notes change and deteriorate. The lighter the scent, with notes of 🍊 citrus, etc, the perfume will last a good year. This is something to consider when collecting perfumes.

I wouldnt what to date a girl that almost never like any smell I like quite a lot of different smells and I wanna be able to mix and match things up every day and often use two different fragrance everyday but with her you will almost never get it right.. nah I aint up for that

About Layton……it was the first Niche frag that I ever received (a year ago). I loved the scent, but I was very disappointed because it had poor performance. I wore it a couple of times after that, but still experienced poor performance. Fast forward to this past Saturday. I wore it for the first time this year (only expecting to got 4 hours of longevity). Wouldn’t you know, it just kept pushing and pushing. The projection was INSANE for at least 3 hours. Even after 3 hours, it was still really strong. 14 hours later, I was still smelling constant whiffs. I don’t know why the performance changed so much, but I’m glad that it did. I almost considered selling/trading this bottle. Lol. I’ve heard a lot about reformulation with the newer batches, so I believed it to be true (at the time). Maybe the key is to let the newer batches mature for a while. LAYTON IS 🔥
You had me in the first half because my experience with Layton was beast mode longevity like it was an oriental. I agree that it sounds like your bottle needed to mature more. Maybe they screwed up a batch.

I know you commented like 2 years ago lol, but I just watched this video today. Guess 1981 LA was such a surprise. At first, I just thought it was a cheap Versace Eros clone, but it’s definitely turns into something else in the drydown with the addition of the plum and overall a darker feel to it.
I would be afraid to wear any fragrance around Gabri. She's a tough critic lol. She snubbed 3 of my all time favs ultra male, coach platinum and code profumo :(
When I started my fragrance journey at 19, I just knew there was something special with YSL. Had the privelage of owning the original batch of LNDL and guess what frat bros, it was a powdery skin scent then too. I had the aftershave and the aftershave was actually more masculine and stronger. That's what made L'homme and LNDL so special; you needed to be confident enough to wear something feminine, light, and gentle. Dear frat bros writing bad reviews on it, YOU have to approach the girl. The perfume isn't going to do that for you. When women are shoulder to shoulder with you, they can smell it just fine. People don't need to compliment you if they like the way you smell. If only I could get it in Cambodia. I would but the 6.7oz bottles of both L'homme and LNDL. But I haven't smelled original Dior Homme. That's another unique trend setter worth having. I must have all three. Going back to what seems to make YSL unique to me is that from the Opium pour homme, Rive Gauche, to LNDL, there's no denying it is a YSL. I don't know about Y though. I'm on the fence about Y. YSL has always rebelled in the fragrance industry and Y just seemed like a cash grab. I do love the salted caramel scent I get from it but is it truly that unique?

Smelled Azzaro wanted by night then headed to Fragrantica for views and they just tore the fragrance apart, saying it is way too sweet and kinda disappointed me. Now thinking about it again and I might pick it up this weekend😅😅

I'm not surprised by their reactions. The merchants at my local fragrance shop do not like most Prada scents or Savauge. I think it has to do with too many guys wearing the same fragrances, and the merchants being familiar with a lot of fragrances. They kept recommending less known fragrances, which I'm glad they did because there are some great scents that aren't hyped. Anyway, good to see what someone who is hard to please thinks of these. My brother is similar, he doesn't like a lot of scents.
Gabri rates things realistically. People seem to think anything below a 7 is bad and anything below 5 you must hate but I think she rates things realistically
Great video, I would let the fragrance settle for 10 minutes before letting them smell it tho. Some opening are harsh and aren't a true likeness of the overall scent. Keep up the good work 👍
We normally would let them dry down...but as I said, I decided to give the experience they might have if they were smelling these fragrances out in a department store, which is how most people encounter them! Thanks so much Alan!
This one one of the best videos yet!!!!!!! I just ordered samples of Milliseme Imperial, Moonlight in Heaven and Layton, from scentsplit had to be sure I before I committed. I had MI before but I want to know for sure it smells the way I remember it. I’m kind of afraid that Layton wouldn’t live up to the hype after watching this video. It there anyway we can buy a sample of Brass and Soul? My nose maybe too basic for your perfume. Current favorite is LV’s Afternoon Swim. It doesn’t change much in dry down, I just love the citrus.

Layton is one of the best vanilla scent. Smells little different to me though in summer and winter. Herod is also yummy but sucks in performance. Keep up your honest reviews man. Love from India ♥️

13:31 This is why I love Aventus and I could never quite verbalize it. Too many mens frags smell too "cologney" and it's very obvious you just doused yourself with cologne. Aventus is a fragrance not a cologne per say, it's present but transparent enough to blend with your natural aura. It could be confused with EXTREME FRESHNESS lol. I prefer a woman to say "mmm you smell good" as opposed to "what cologne is that" and Aventus achieves that more than anything

JC - great video. A few loved fragrances that received some thumbs down, and all I can say is that I love to hear differing perspectives. For example: I own Prada L'Homme and while some love it (Jeremy is an example), and I just don't wear it often (I would rather wear Dior Homme Eau or Prada L'Homme Eau). Justin - Does the exclusion of Reflection Man from the list mean it’s not a top compliment getter? Smelled 45 and it’s amazing but original is less then half the price so may get that one . I've only experienced that need to let the fragrance mature thing with clone houses. My Layton was beast mode from the gate.
I think that with these newer batches. The alcohol dissipates the longer it sits. There for making it better as it ages is my only guess.

Have Gabri try some of the SpiceBomb fragrances. They are some of my favorites.

I'm not surprised by their reactions. The merchants at my local fragrance shop do not like most Prada scents or Savauge. I think it has to do with too many guys wearing the same fragrances, and the merchants being familiar with a lot of fragrances. They kept recommending less known fragrances, which I'm glad they did because there are some great scents that aren't hyped.
Anyway, good to see what someone who is hard to please thinks of these. My brother is similar, he doesn't like a lot of scents.

Great video, I would let the fragrance settle for 10 minutes before letting them smell it tho. Some opening are harsh and aren't a true likeness of the overall scent. Keep up the good work 👍
We normally would let them dry down...but as I said, I decided to give the experience they might have if they were smelling these fragrances out in a department store, which is how most people encounter them! Thanks so much Alan!

This one one of the best videos yet!!!!!!! I just ordered samples of Milliseme Imperial, Moonlight in Heaven and Layton, from scentsplit had to be sure I before I committed. I had MI before but I want to know for sure it smells the way I remember it. I’m kind of afraid that Layton wouldn’t live up to the hype after watching this video. It there anyway we can buy a sample of Brass and Soul? My nose maybe too basic for your perfume. Current favorite is LV’s Afternoon Swim. It doesn’t change much in dry down, I just love the citrus.

I agree on the final verdict as well. WBN is fire on drydown. Layton is one of the best vanilla scent. Smells little different to me though in summer and winter. Herod is also yummy but sucks in performance.

13:31 This is why I love Aventus and I could never quite verbalize it. Too many mens frags smell too "cologney" and it's very obvious you just doused yourself with cologne. Aventus is a fragrance not a cologne per say, it's present but transparent enough to blend with your natural aura. It could be confused with EXTREME FRESHNESS lol. I prefer a woman to say "mmm you smell good" as opposed to "what cologne is that" and Aventus achieves that more than anything

JC - great video. A few loved fragrances that received some thumbs down, and all I can say is that I love to hear differing perspectives. For example: I own Prada L'Homme and while some love it (Jeremy is an example), and I just don't wear it often (I would rather wear Dior Homme Eau or Prada L'Homme Eau).

Lots of times men like to wear certain fragrances that are different than fragrances that women like to smell on men. Wanted by Night is money. I gave mine away because I thought it was too sweet, then regretted doing so. I repurchased it last month. I've only sampled Layton and have never had a full bottle. I must remedy that soon.

Superman, Gabri is a tough critic. She either into strictly niche or must date fragranceless guys. Grace don't leave Gabri in the cold about the frag world. It's good to have both perspectives because sometimes frags are hyped and when you buy them, they're not all up to the hype. Great Vid you all.

Justin - Does the exclusion of Reflection Man from the list mean it’s not a top compliment getter? Smelled 45 and it’s amazing but original is less then half the price so may get that one . Also love Pegasus exclusif, and am wondering about Prada lhomme intense which I haven’t smelled yet, since they all seem to be similar vibe.
